A few years back some of us went to granite peak for a ski night. Anyone interested in doing that again?

Boarders are welcome. Need to find when they have a good deal like free lift or rental.

I'm down for sure. Got a season pass and I work third shift, this means I could ride there every hour they are open. For those looking for the good deals you have two options. Sat. are half off night passes which makes it 15 bucks. Tue and Thur are buy one get one free night pass, basiclly same deal as Sat but you need someone else to pair up with. If there is an odd number you can probably stand at the ticket window and in ten minutes you will find someone to go in on it with you. So anytime you guys go I'll come, odds are pretty good I would be going anyway. I'll be going up there tonight if anyone is interested.

That's why we never bother going there, even though it's so close. I'd rather take a day or two days and head up to the UP where there is quality skiing.

i still prefer keystone in CO the best though. although LoveLand pass wasn't bad either.

I myself had a pretty good time in CO with devlish a few years ago..well more like 10 but whatever! Hit Breck...Loceland pass and A Basin I believe...good times. After you ski ( or attempt to snowboard as i did) out there anything around here blows ass.

I have a question for all the haters of Granite Peak. When was the last time you were there and how often do you go. While I will admit at times you will run into icy spots, conditions are usually pretty good. I have been there at least 30 days so far this year, I would say it was icy 3 or 4 times, and that was just in spots not the entire hill. I ride all times of the day. Obviously its not going to compare to the west, that shouldn't be expected. I think Granite does the best job of any hill in WI, last time I went to Brule it sucked. The UP is a fun trip but not much better than Granite. There has been a lot of money invested into the hill in the last several years, groomers, snow machines and lets not forget the 6 person high speed lift which pretty much doubles your time on the runs. They also have a nice terrain park as well. I will admit the prices there are somewhat outragous. Thats why you go for a season pass, 350 is a smoking deal for me. I get a minumum of 50 days on the hill a season, so thats less than 10 per day. Can't beat that!

last year i was at granite almost everyday of the season.. the year before that as well... this year ive only been there a few times and im still dissapointed with it at night... during the day its great.. but at night its just not any fun.. especialy with the terrain park..
that hey improved this year but not by alot... thats my opinion though.. i usualy travel once a week and hit up a different place but the majority of the time im at granite or bruce mound...

Last time I was at Granite Peak was three winters ago. I went several times (during day and evening) and the conditions sucked each time. Granted, we did not have that much snow that year, so they were forced to supplement Mother Nature more than they regularly would. However, every time I have been up there since I started skiing (when I was about 8) I have been relatively disappointed. For the price you pay (and the prices seem to keep going up), I would expect better.
