Meng has complete the winter beater trophy and I think you all know what that means. Time to start racing the winter beaters.
Do you guys want to do this drag race style or multiple event style?
LSEGHatch had some ideas:
-drift digging - Climbing a snow covered hill - cool idea, but it won't work consistantly.
-snow-lom - slalom time through 4 cones - this would be pretty easy.
-32-30 - accelerate to 30mph and stop with the time recorded - no way to measure this consistantly.
- glove - time to change a tire in the cold - nobody will be willing to do this.
- toasted almonds - measure the tempeture in a car with the heater on for 10 minutes - this could be done
- switch - too much vagueness with this idea - could start lots of arguments
- castration - see who can drive around the longest with the windows down without wearing a shirt - if the ladies are will to participate in this I'm all for it. :shock: I don't see this one working out.

It's March already and we need to get this winter beater trophy crap over with so spring can arrive. The trophy needs to be given away to the person with the deserving winter beater.
Highlights so far: Dee vs. T.C. (Victoria). Dee wins the Rusties Run. T.C. puts the smack down at DuBay snow autocross. Dee posts a win the next week. 2 out of 3 Dee wins the last snow autocross matchup.
Dee vs. Don't Stop Me: Dee wins at Rusties Run. Dee loses at snow autocross. So far a tie. Now we need a drag race to settle this conflict for good. 8)
No one else is in the running according to my records.

Two threads for last night. Besides it's too late to get in on the winter beater trophy dash.
It was a triple crown challenge.
1. Rusties Run
2. DuBay autocross
3. Drag race
Best two out of three takes home the trophy. I will post the results as soon as Dizmm gets me the pictures.

MPF manufactured the helmet and his spelling is....well not the best. Barubabe would not approve.
The helmet is CWSCC approved which is way better than Snell.
CaviKate demonstrates that proper helmet fit is important. This particular helmet is too big and in a rapid stop it could block her vision. Not good. :shock:

FALSE!! There was a few long ice patches on the road! I'd say the road was half clear, then half ice.
I dont know how many times i see, "Race Central 9pm" posted on this forum. Even if you did not see on the forum what was going on, its always been race central at 9. I think you backed down on the 366/24/7 racing. Dv2 has been waiting all winter for you and you never came out.

For the last 8 years we haven't even had snow on the ground in the first weekend of March! Last year we had an MBM by now.

This winter was MUCH different than last year's. Hell last year we hardly had any snow. If you were at the winter beater championship race, you would have saw the road was still half covered with ice/part snow.
