I'm in the market for a snow blower. I didn't research much but word on the street is that Toro makes the best throwers around.
I'm looking for an electric start self propelled 8HP+ unit with an efficient "aiming" device. I don't want to have to crank the fucker 30 times to move the chute from the left side to the right. Nothing fancy just something that cuts a decent path with minimal effort to move about.
Anyone have any suggestions?
I would also entertain someone plowing my drive way for me. Know anyone that has a cash plowing business on the side?

The two stage is the best but also thier web site says from 999.00 - 1500.00 for those.
The single stage ones work fine but tend to be slower in heavy snow and deep snow but the price rabge for those are 333.00 - 999.00

Go big or go home.
454 cubic inch big block Chevrolet V8 produces 412 horsepower, 430 foot pounds of torque and can throw snow 50 feet at just 3500 rpm. Nor will you get cold as the machine has been ingeniously designed to route the engine coolant through the handle bars, with the rear mounted, enclosed radiator keeping the operator nice and cosy.

I just got my blower running today. It is my parents old one. Its a Toro, at least 20 years old, still runs good. Although the chute does take some cranking to turn, that would be my one complaint about it. It has never needed anything repaired on it. It still had the original spark plug in it until I changed it today. I would recomend a Toro.
I have seen a new snowblower that has a cable / lever system for the chute. Kinda like a push lawnmower has a lever for the throttle but a bit bigger and it turns the chute 195 degrees or something. I don't know if it was toro that had this or some other company. I just remember the comercials on tv.

I bought one from an old lady that posted it in the Buyers Guide.
She bought it in Fall, used it once over Winter and said it was too big for their little driveway. She had the sticker for it, was $950... I gave her $400 for it. Virtually brand new.

I would keep an eye out for deals in the local papers. Or buy a used one from that small engine shop on Patch ST off Michigan Ave. Buying a new one isn't much advantage for something so basic. I actually blew the gear on the starter on mine last weekend because I'm an idiot; went over to that shop on Patch ST and he had the factory part in stock for $9. Good people, good deals.
