View Full Version : POLL: Too nitrous or not to nitrous that is the question!

I cannot determine if I should put the squeeze on Darse.
Some days when I'm feeling rowdy it seems like a splendid idea. Other days I ask myself "Why should I".
Darse is not a drag car and its already fairly quick. Even on straight pump gas the car has plenty of power. Sure it would be nice to have an extra 100whp on tap but its not like there would be very many cars to race. There aren't very many now.
I guess what it comes down to is bang for buck. I wonder if its really worth putting on the car considering the very limited use I would get from it.

Bottle Baby. :D
Why not? Its cheap, its fun, and its resellable.

Might be a dumb question, but do any road-racing or Auto-X classes allow spray?

Most auto x events do not allow nitrous. One Lap of America however does allow it.
Road racing. Not really a viable power adder.

VPT made a good point, its cheap, fun, and when you are done, you can resell it for what you paid for it (if you bought a used kit).

The sauce is not cheap unless you don't use it very often. It is addicting!!!

Hubby put nos on his cavy and hardly ever used it. In fact, the bottle is sitting in our basement right now, gathering dust. Unless you plan to use it a lot, I wouldn't waste my time or money. Like you said, darse is fast enough without it. Plus, if you need to upgrade anything to handle your spray, that would be more money spent.

FWIW I didn't plan on using it for road race or autox. I would remove the bottle for those events. It would be entirely for weekend shits and giggles.
I have a few low ball bids on ebay kits. If I win one for cheap then I'll do it if not then I won't.

NOS is worth it for those few times that you start shit with a v8 guy. nothing like laying the smack down on a cocky v8 nuthugger.
