Well, to make a long story short, I'm conviced that the guy before my had a Packer sticker on the window for such a long time that it changed the molecular structure of the window. No matter what I clean the window with, how much I wash that bastard, EVERY time the windows fog up this shows up.

Now, I have no idea why this happened and why I can't get rid of it. Any ideas? Devlish, maybe you've seen this happen before?

I had the same thing on my white talon, not quite a packer sticker, but it was a "aftermarket" rear view mirror.

It's more annoying than anything, just because I know I can't get rid of it. I have never owned a car that fogged as bad as this one either... If the temps fall below 30*ish, when I turn the heater on EVERYTHING fogs and only 3/4s of the front windshield and 1/2 the driver's and passenger windows are clear. I can't figure out why that happens either.

Is your airflow thingy turned to go straight through the car, and not circulate the air?

Yeah I tried messing with that thing for a while.... I think my heater core is a little screwy or the fans don't work evenly, I should probably figure that out because it seems to be sort of a safety issue if I can't see.

The sticker phenomenon. Maybe Vettehead can explain it. My Dad's Accord when the left rear window fogs up you can still see where the vehicle disclosure was.

Best defogging - Do no use recirculate. Fresh air works best. Also if the car has A/C make sure that it's working because the compressor will dry the air and make the defroster work much faster.

For some reason Honda's windows fog up really easy. :? If the car is equipped with A/C it's not a problem. My Type R fogs really badly.

No A/C in this beast. Man-power windows and locks as well. No power steering either, it would probably be a good luxury competition with Fred Flintstone.

try a razorblade and rubbing alchohol on the "decal"

also, since you dont have AC to dry the air, pick up a ac/dc convertor and put a dehumidifier in the back hatch and set to LOW. if windows continue to fog, try MEDIUM, and so forth.

the other option is go to a ski shop and pick up some anti fog wipes, they do help a little. just a suggestion. i used them on my honda and it did actually make a small difference. i know what you mean though. it's annoying

I've tried every form of Goo-Gone or 3M adhesive remover I could get my hands on with it... No luck.

I guess the dehumidifier is worth a shot.

I'll look into that too.

You sure your heater core isn't leaking?

Nope, I'm not sure of that... Any quick ways to check?

The fog on the windows might have a coolant smell to it if you rub it off on your finger, but the best way to tell is if the floor is damp with coolant. Just feel around the floor of both the passenger and driver's side and if it's wet or damp it's coolant dripping.

So upon further investigation, I happened to have put two and two together all by myself. With the mention of leaking things and moisture, what if something is letting the outside moisture in? I searched the faithful H-T forums and found that EJ6 hatches are notorious for the tail light gaskets leaking, and sure as shit.... Like a sieve. I'm guessing that's a large part of my problem, so out they come and in go some new gaskets. That still doesn't solve my Packer dilemma though.
