Drag Racing this weekend (at an actual track)

We have a choice of either Saturday or Sunday. Who wants to go and what day??

Byron is about the same distance time wise as GLD. Plus it's a way nicer and faster track.

I'm game if I can find some slicks or drag radials to use.

This will be a good way for me to test the stock clutch with a max power drag racing tune. It will suck if it doesn't hold but at least I will know whether I need to add a clutch to the winter mod list.

I checked and Sunday is open for me. What time do you plan on leaving?

Stevens Point is NOT the only place that sells race gas you know. my guess is someone down by you sells race gas. a 2gal container is about $4. go buy one, filler up with race gas, and return the container on monday claiming is has a pinhole in it!!

I know there are places that sell race gas down here, but they are the opposite direction, all on the way to GLD for me. We should go there :wink:

Not sure where you get your info, Ive raced at both and disagree. Byron is nice, but I would say GLD is a nicer facility.

I'm sure i'll tag along with someone. I would take the GTI but it really wouldn't be worth taking and I wanna be able to drive my car back. Only because i'm runnin the stock clutch with 120k miles on it :roll:

And yes a new clutch is on the winter to do list

Evil, why would you not go to GLD? It will be on a test and tune date, and none of the money you give them will help brian at all. You already told me you wanted to go GLD about 2 weeks ago. The track is awesome, why not go there? If you don't, no problem, i can work more, but still.

Why can't GLD be open on week days now, i'm read to pack up and head to GLD tomorrow, its fricken 56 degrees right now! Tomorrow will be about 62 but the track is only open on weekends now :x
