I HAVE A 1990 NISSAN MAXIMA. ITS SILVER AND HAS NO RUST, THIS WILL BE ITS SECOND WINTER EVER. KENTUCKY CAR. 136,000 MILES. NEEDS TIRES, THE TIRES ON IT ARE WEATHERED FROM SITTING FOR A YEAR AND A HALF. NEEDS A BRAKE LINE AND EXHAUST. THE CAT IS PLUGGED UP. IT STARTS RIGHT UP WITH OUT HESITATION, BUT IS CHOKED OFF BECAUSE THE EXHAUST IS PLUGGED AND NO EXHAUST GASES ARE GOING THROUGH IT. NO EXHAUST COMES OUT THE BACK OF THE CAR AT ALL. OH AND ITS AN AUTOMATIC :( . BUT ITS IN NICE SHAPE. THE INTERIOR IS MINT. AN OLD MAN OWNED IT. IT HAS NEW PLUGS AND WIRES, O2 SENSOR. TINT IS REALLY OLD AND CRAPPY. THEIR IS A SPOT ON THE HOOD WHERE THE PREVIOUS OWNER HAD SPILLED A LITTLE BIT OF BRAKE FLUID, BUT STILL NO RUST WHERE THE PAINT HAD FADED FROM THE FLUID. THE CAR IS A VERY EASY FIX. THE CAR BLUE BOOKS IN GOOD CONDITION AT OVER $2,000, IN EXELLENT CONDION IT BLUE BOOKS AT OVER $3000. IM WILLING TO SELL FOR $700. I'D FIX IT AND SELL IT BUT I HAVE NO TIME AND I WANT TO START ANOTHER PROJECT. I HAVE HAD THE CAR FOR ABOUT 8 MONTHS NOW AND IT HAS SAT THIS ENTIRE TIME.

Also their is NO knocking whats so ever. No back fires or popping at all. The timing seems like its right on. No miss fires. So with the fact that their is no exhaust coming out the exhaust pipe and the motor chugging when pressing the throttle like its being deprived of air. I can only assume its the exhaust. All the exhaust gases are in the engine bay. The previous owner thought it was the plugs and wires or the o2 sensor, thats why they are all replaced. He also thought he had a blown head gasket, hench the smoke in the engine bay, but i find no oil any where. The engine bay and the engine it self are both really clean. So I truely believe its the exhaust plugged up. I had a friend from work had the same thing happen on one of his old trucks. He cut off the exhaust and found a nest in their, and the truck ran great after that.
