what kind of gun did you get? i've been using a SATA lately, and really like it. did you get multiple guns for primer, base, clear? or just one for everything. i've used the SATA for everything, and i really like it. just by adjusting the digital air pressure meter... you can really change how it lays the primer/base/clear. i've had good luck, and i'm no pro. but a good gun really makes a big difference over the ol' Menards Special. (which, by the way, served me well for many years!)

My car's made quite a few appearances in the VPT shop, it might be time for a stop at Sign-Pro for some tint. Just as soon as I fix that fucking window and get a few more doolars, they're hard to come by with no job.

i like the sound of tinting your car. but guy... you need a jobbie job first it appears. geez.

do you have any mechanical skills? every once in a while i have some small jobs around town that need sign installs. usually basic stuff. nothing more than a shovel or drill. we could talk sometime maybe, you could be a backup install guy. my uncle does a few of them... but he's not always available, and has a bad back. so any heavy lifting is out of the question.

i already use VPT's services for my metal needs. speaking of... i have some metal needs VERY URGENT!!! VPT needs to stop over here asap! :D

I have a sata digi as well. I do have to get another gun for primer but I use just one for base and clear. Maybe some day i will pick up another sata for just base.

the digi is a very nice gun, it should be for 500 bones. The ebay special I was using before was just junk! I used to think it was a decent gun untill the first 10 seconds I used the sata. The only thing I would ever get a cheap gun again for is interior paint, the ebay gun worked fine for that.

the cheap ones work well for primer usually too. considering usually you have to sand down the primer anyways. and if a little gets clogged in the cheapy gun, no big deal. yeah, my cheapo gun is what i used on a half dozen or more interior car audio fiberglass jobs. worked fine for that. not 100%, but pretty darn good for a $40 gun. again, crap to use compared to the SATA digi.

ok, i'm going to call you now that i know you are home. you best answer your phone.

I go to school M-F, but I'm usually back mid-afternoon, 4:30 on two days, but wide open weekends. Shoot me a PM with what sort of stuff I'd have to know and all that. That would be awesome.
