I dont like to bundle up. I dont like the cold. I dont like having to shovel snow. I dont like having to wait for my car to heat up. I dont like scraping windows. I dont like the mess of melting snow.
There is no winter activity that I prefer to do over a summer activity. VPT you dont do shit in the summer and you don't do shit in the winter so it makes no difference to you. I prefer summer sports and activities. Whether its MBM or simply grilling out life is more worth living in a warm climate.
Fuck WI winters.

I know that when I recently went to Florida, I really did not want to come back. And that was at the end of October when it can still be pretty nice. It was just like having summer again and I did not want to come back.
Besides, it was much more fun digging Allen's Saab out of the Daytona Beach sand when he got it stuck than it would have been digging it out of the shitty Wisconsin snow!!!!

Summer year round = 8 more months to break your shit and have to pay for new stuff. At least that's how I'd look at it. But I agree, I'd much rather be south.

Snowmobiles = SUCK
No reason to buy a snowmobile here is WI. Automobiles are a much better choice besides they have heaters and are way faster than sleds. I think winter is way more fun to drive around than summer. Snow/ice driving rocks.
Yes PDSM year round fun can be had in your car.

ur Z06 is faster but most cars no my sled tops out at 130 and it takes about 10 sec to get there power to weight id burn you in a race every time

Bring it Blown. Not only are sleds slow they spend most of their useable time broken down.

we'll prolly never get any snow but if we do its on like donkeykong sleds spend most of there time broken down sounds like a dsm iv never had any trouble with mine yet
Bring it Blown. Not only are sleds slow they spend most of their useable time broken down.
Broken down? I have never been stranded on a sled nor not been able to ride because it was broken.
I think you've had more problems with your vette than I ever had with any of my sleds.
AND you can't argue miles because I put on more than 10k miles on my last sled and believe you me any mile on one of my sleds is not an easy one.
AND lastly if you would pay any atention at the track you would see that not even a crotch rocket can keep up to a sled.
EVILUTION
11-28-2006, 11:25 PM
Wow.... a sled that can only be run on a track one 1/4 mile at a time is fast!
I challenge your sled to a 15 minute lapping session at Shawano.
TomKat
11-28-2006, 11:43 PM
Don't bother challenging VPT to a race against his sled. I've been trying and trying for years to get him to race me and for some reason or another he never shows up. VPT's sled never breaks down - BULLSHIT- You had a sled in your garage for a long time that was broken.
A crotch rocket can't keep up to a car so why would a car have to worry about a sled?????????? Snowmobiles are slow.
EVILUTION
11-29-2006, 12:08 AM
I would go get a pair of kick ass sleds right now if we ever got enough snow to enjoy the TRAILS AROUND HERE. Its too bad that a trip up north is required to actually use the damn things.
I know you can zoom back and fourth on the lake but that gets old real fast. Unless you have a cabin up north a weekend of sledding is going to set you back a few hundred bones easily.
For that kind of cash I'd rather take a trip some place warm and forget about winter.
TomKat
11-29-2006, 07:15 AM
Or spend that money wisely and buy a car with a heater. :D

.....and he rests his case. A friggen sled is nearly useless.
Unless you drop a ton of cash and go up north to actually hit the trails you aren't going to get your money's worth. Hell most people only use them to commute from bar to bar. Its their way of avoiding a DUI in the winter.

What????????? I don't remember that. Are you making this up VPT? I haven't been to the Lakeside Bar landing since I've known Big Erv of Big Erv Motorsports and Paint. Besided that guy at Lakeside yells at cars if they use his landing.

Insurance doesn't cover cars on the ice and recovery can run well over 20k.

....... acutally insurance sometimes does cover going through the ice. I have a friend who went thru the ice on the Wisconsin River. It was in a 4x4 truck that was listed as an off-road vehicle. Because off-road was listed in the policy it was covered. When I had full coverage on my Ranger I made sure that off road was listed in my policy as well.
........ American Familly will cover my EVO if I'm at a "high performance driving school" and I wreck. If its a winter event or summer event it doesn't matter. As long as its not a timed I'm good to go. Thats another reason I prefer lapping days over autocrosses.

or, just don't post in a thread thats 4+ years old just to troll. You're just giving CWSCC a bad name by trash talking FVSCC all the time. If you don't agree with how things were handled, fine, that's understandable. But fecal verbage about them every other post just makes CWSCC look immature and nothing more than a bunch of posing wankers. Which makes me embarrassed to BE a CWSCC member.

Thing is, most of the MEMBERS of all the clubs (even SCCA) are pretty cool people. It's just the decisions made, and manner in which they're presented, that sets each organization's tone.
Look at the world in general. Americans are generally good people. However, due to the decisions our government has made, and the way it presents those decisions to the world, Americans in general are seen on a global perspective as rather lacking in all sorts of ways.
Unfortunately, SOME of the poor esteem we're held in is merited. so, how to fix that? by Proving that you're better than the common conception of you.
in short, and to sum up: "Be Excellent To Each Other."
And,
"Party on, Dudes!!"
