yeah, we did Jacksonville to St. Pt. a few years ago. 102degrees in the shade, no A/C, no radio, loud worthless exhaust... that was 1400miles & 22 hours of drive time, not including food,gas,etc. it sucked, but i bet it wouldn't have been nearly as bad had it not been so ridicously hot. i'd do it again without the heat. it's kinda fun actually, especially the mountains. but i do prefer to stay overnight somewhere, not drive straight through for more than 14hours or so. that's about my limit. 12-14hrs in a day and i'm done... cuz i don't sleep for shit in the car.

Me and TK went down to ATL in, what was it? 14 hours? (Not sure but it seemed like FOREVER). With a stop over in Bowling Green. NEVER AGAIN.

I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I love road trips. :D

Well, she has around 1000 - 2000 weeks to go than to get close to catching up to me. 38 years to catch up to you!??!?!? holy cow guy. that's a long time.

i'll just assume you meant PER WEEK. but with as much as your on here... i don't see where your getting 2000-3000miles in per week. that's 4 days of SOLID driving. no breaks, no internet gaming, no cwscc....

700 x 1000 = 700,000 miles

Buy and Fly. Me and John flew to philly, Pennsylvania and drove the car back. Don't remember the total hours of the the trip, but Penn. is a damn LONG state! This make me think we should have a new thread about road trips to get cars. One of the first times i drove a DSM was when me and my buddy went to Chicago to pick up a VW golf.

I have been to NYC to pickup a car, flew there and drove back. Recently trailered my car out to NJ and picked up extremes car and trailered it back non-stop. Been to Chi-town several times, Twin cities, Iowa, all over wisconsin to pickup DSM's.

I drove down highway 66, then northpoint, then turned onto North Second st. I was tired after the long drive to pick my car up, but managed to drive it home. My white talon was delivered to my house :lol: .

Ha ha. I went to Munich Germany with Ralf to pick up his new BMW 330i. That's been the farthest away trip to get a car. I love going on trips to pick up cars.

1850 miles in 30 hours round trip fom Point. I drove every mile and Pointdsm slept a third of the time. :)

You would also notice that, from the way the light is hitting the car and casting a shadow, there should be at least some shadow from the girl, yet there isn't. Hmmm. The plot thickens.

the direction of light is not correct for any of that. the sun would need to be coming from the rear right corner of the car.. but there is a concrete wall there. and you can tell the sun is shining on the concrete wall, making it hit the car on the rear left. the shadow, if any, should be on the passengar side of the car. not on the driverside as shown.

but seriously... who's looking at shadows when there's ass in the picture??

That is just from waves comming over the wall.

I seen something on discovery cannel awhile back about a freezing rain storm up in canada or alaska. It rained 2 1/2 inchs and every drop froze to what it landed on. Trees were down, cars were froze shut, power was out everywhere, but than..... A second storm came like the next day and dumped another 3 inchs in the same fashion as before. Just imagine 5 1/2 inchs of ice on everything...

i looks like it was PS'd to be lowered though. around the wheel wells looks ps'd at least. but still not a bad looking car. i wouldn't mind one like that (just not lowered) for a winter beater next year. this 10mpg jeep thing sucks. i think that's what nobody understands about the jeep thing... 10mpg blows. there, now you all know.

^^ That's pretty crappy. Mine is bad too. I average about 12 in town in the winter but that's driving aggressively. Its worth it to me because I really like the way it rips through the snow. When it's sloppy out the jeep is 100% better than the EVO especially when coming to a stop. The EVO ABS sucks in the winter. I pulled the fuse for it. I've also found that the push button ACD (snow) doesn't really change much at all. Its also much more comfortable. Love the heated seats, mirrors, and auto temp sensative zone heating controls. I love my jeep thing.

I guess I don't feel so bad with mine now since I get 12 highway and 8 city with the lift and the V8.

I didn't get snow tires. I'm running the all season that came with the car. They are Sumitomo HTRs. Forward traction isn't the problem.... stopping is.

I beleave snow tires will improve stopping in the snow. I just bolted up the snow tires on Dv2. I am getting excited to drive it :D

On T.C.'s winter beater (half tread)snow grips decreased the stopping distance from 30 mph by almost two car lengths.
