View Full Version : anyone know how to install a Mallory 6al ignition??

ive been trying to study the diagrams online of the installation of this.. but im bad with figuring things out sometimes unless ive got help and someone explaining it to me better...

Anyone around marshfield/point area willing to help me install this sometime in the future?? might be a few weeks but yeah...

no one gonna know how to do it on those cars. I'm pretty much the only one knows em well and don't wanna deal with it. its not that hard if you got the diagram from starquestclub.com then it should be easy.

with the multiple coil packs like a dsm? or a single?

its single and no where near like a dsm. its not hard to hook up just gotta look at the wiring diagram there's like i think a tach signal not sure what color coding it is but comes outta the knock box and just connect that to the white wire on the 6al.

The big red and big black to the battery, the small black and red inside the plastic casing go to the coil, and like you said the white go to the tach signal.
