Team Grass Master vs. Team Broke DSM

Newly formed team Grass Master is challenging Team Broke DSM to a duel at the CWSCC rallycross on Nov. 13th. Since the course will be on grass team GM hired a resident grass expert to drive at the event.

Vehicle of team Grass Mstr.: '91 Nissan Sentra. 4 cyl. automatic for those blistering fast shifts.

Vehicle of team Broke DSM: '90 Eagle Talon. 4 cyl. 5 speed.

Since this obviously isn't a fair match we will be counting PAX times (TBD) for the cars. This isn't going to be just one match. There will be triple challenge. Times from the three (2 male 1 female) drivers on each time will be added together. Lowest total wins.

Just a warning. I took the Grass Master Sentra out for a high speed gravel handling test tonight. She passed.

Then I launched it on the gravel. Doing a brake torque the trans. seemed to hunt for a gear finally finding it so I released the brake and floored it. It spun for a solid 6" (both wheels spun) before gaining traction. 0 to 3 mph I wouldn't bet on beating an old lady pedestrian using a walker, but once above 20 mph the power comes on so you better hang on.

Team Grass Master has already won. They don't have a DSM.

If I can find the time this week, I will be putting the CRX together, so that I can prove it can trophy on any surface. Ice, pavement, or grass/dirt.

The sentra has a surprisingly good radio. The Dsm probably doesn't even having a working radio.

Good question. Team Grass Masters fired it's original woman driver (f-ing women), but is in the process of negotiations with a new girl. She's competed in a CWSCC event in the past.

Team Grass Master has been sold. The new owners first order of business was to fire the teams senior driver. The new owner has said: we're in negotiations of merging with Team Cranberry. With the combination of our grass expert driver and the cranberry terrain expert it should be enough to get a podium spot in Sundays competition.

Challenge 1 (best overall pax time) Winner Nissan.

Challenge 2 (window roll up contest) Winner Nissan by a long shot.

Challenge 3 (engine starting race) Winner Nissan. The Subaru gave some competition and the first try was almost a tie with the nod going to the Nissan. We went for two out of three and the Subaru wouldn't start on the second attempt.

I have always been excluded from winning a trophey at a CWSCC event. As an event organizer, my name is included in the results so you can actually see how slow you are, but excluded from trophies so slow people like you can collect trophies to show your mom how fast you are ;)
