So, i was out in around amherst last night going to a friends house. Going about 80 down highway Q, well, lets say that deer was feeling risky last night. I honestly think that with my new brakes and hawk pads, i have never stopped that damn quickly in my life. I still hit the deer, but only scuffed up my bumper(and not my hood, thank God), but have an interesting idea out of it. While the smell of burning rubber was cool from an AWD car, i only locked up 1 tire when i was doing this, it was only for a bit(once it locked up i eased off the brakes), but why didn't the other side lock up, or all 4?

could have been a lot of different reasons. less traction or something will cause that particular tire to lock up.

the weight of the car or more accurately angle to the ground could have caused your uneven lockup. if you only locked it up for a bit, maybe the other tire was light on the ground and just didn't leave a mark.

i locked up mine when i hit a deer in my AWD. ask Evil, he saw it up 20+ft in the air doing a superman!!! but i was airborne when i saw the deer, hit the brakes, and locked them up as i landed.... and smoked the dear about about 60+mph.

who cares about your hood anyways... i thought you bought the CF Stash was parting out. and what's your interesting idea for the front bumper?

The interesting idea was the weird braking, as if one corner had more force than another, and such. Oh, and I have the new hood on, i was freaking out about that as soon as it happened, There is one little scratch on it from the deer, but nothing else. At least that deer has 2 broken back legs now...

The CF hood is already on his car, thats probably why he cares. I bet the deer would have crushed that hood if it got throw up on it. It may be bad karma to buy body parts from me. The kid that bought my 2gb front bumper totaled out his car on the highway a month after he bought it.

I don't think it is bad karma, I was going to fast for roads I really didn't know. I saw a couple other deer that night as well, just this one decided to go for it. I also could have easily swerved and missed it, but thought that could have been worse, but oh well.
