Feel free add to your calendars. I'll be doing tech inspection, if you follow the tech inspection thread that's posted on CWSCC you should be good to go. See you all there!
We have clip on devices that we will sell to quite your vehicle - if are you are over the db limit. If you are still over, we will refund you the money. We lost our first lot because of noise complaints. :yikes:

Interesting! out of curiosity, what sort of "clip-on devices" are you using?

Just something simple. A metal screen hose clamped over the tip of the muffler. The screen holds the steel wool in place.
Long story short is if we can show CVTC that we can put on events that meet noise regulations than we can hopefully go back to our first lot in the future.
I don't understand the "public" over here. They complain about street racers, but they complain about organized events.

People just like to complain. Oh look - someone is having fun. We'll see about that.

One of the best bumper stickers I've ever seen was "airports: the sound of freedom". If you want to see another prime example of stupid people whining about noise, just look at what happened at Union Grove, Great Lakes Dragway. The track has been there for literally 50 years. A new subdivision wanted the village board to shut the track down on noise complaints for it was built next to the track. Word got on Facebook and all of a sudden the issue was dropped because over a thousand people planned on showing to protest.

Haha I was part of that petition, and I've never even been to that track.

In Madison they made it illegal for trains to blow their horns because it was too loud. The changed their minds after several accidents.
