Did this today, keeps the fogs on when the high beams are turned on.

Pull the lever horizontally with the plug, the wire plug will lift up while you pull the lever.

The wire to be cut is a green with black stripe on my 03 7.3 eddie X.

I crimped on and then soldered on a 9mm lug.

I located a factory ground location on the right side of the removed lower dash panel. Bolted down the new lug with the factory single wire lug.

Stripped the end of the new wire after measuring and the end of the green wire coming from the harness plug. Don't forget to put the heat shrink on! Wires pushed together, twisted, soldered, heat shrunk.

Heat shrink the end of the green wire coming out of the wire harness and put everything back together. Works perfect on my 03.

this is a way better write up then that stereo install from a few months ago.lol ...........why would you need the fogs and the highbeams at the same time? and is that legal?

Nope and the light is better with both on.

fog lights are worthless.

If you aim them up so they glare they do some good.

Or if you are in a really really heavy fog they um, um, light up the sides of the road better - sort of.

convert the fogs into a driving light, or pencil beam. lighting up the 10-15 feet in front of you is useless unless you are traveling at 5mph.

I did this on my neon so I could turn my fogs on when I wanted them on instead of just being on with the low beams, no tail lights just fogs comes in handy when running from the piggys also :)

I put in 65 (I think) watt bulbs in the fogs, there were 35's in from factory. They do light up the ditches and road about 50 feet out. I like the extra light. I do have plans to install driving lights as well like my last truck. I had 100watt highs and driving light bulbs in my last truck, it had very nice light. I plan to go with HID's on this truck after I get the newer 07 headlight housings.
