OK I'm looking at buying stephanie's old white civic si (90 civic si b16a swap?) i believe her name is rapidschic on here? anyways Tyler Pechinski now has it and is selling it, I was test driving it tonight and it just died out of the middle of nowhere? it would turn over and start once in awhile but then just die right away, it also smelled like gas after it would turn over and not fire like it wasn't getting spark? yes it had gas in it also lol, so I called Tyler to come tow me, well we pushed it up on the road where it was level and it fired right up and has been running fine all night, does anybody know what the problem could be? did the car do this previously? also the heat has to be on all the time otherwise it will over heat quick, would that just be a thermostat? or something bigger?? I like the car and want to buy it but now I'm nervous about it and wondering if I should just stay away from it? Also I thought hondas were suppose to be reliable haha... any help would be great.
Thx.

Also VPT... I would be interested in you going over the car if possible before I pull the trigger on it, Tyler gave me your number and told me to give you a call tomorrow, otherwise give me a call or text anytime tomorrow if you could at 715 252 9709 and let me know what your schedule looks like.
Thx.

Yeah replace those lights if you buy it.
Frank bought a fluidyne radiator and I think a fan from me for that car. If the car was overheating still I would check to see if the fan was running, only other thing in that circuit is the fan switch that is screwed into the back of the block, or its a sticky thermostat.
I never got to look at the car much and I don't think I even rode in it ever. From what I saw it looked like a good car. Most any honda problems are normally easy fixes. If the problems are in the wiring it can be a bitch to work out depending on who did the swap and wiring.
The starting problem can be the common main relay, used ones are normally around $20.
