Would anyone be interested in an ice rallycross in Tomahawk this Sunday?

I'll be going up there tomorrow to check things out.

Appleton. But it looks like almost a 3 hour drive. Not for me. Eagle River works because I have a Cabin in the North woods.

Count me in. But I need to know if the event is a go before 6pm today. To cut the drive time in half, would like to stay over night at my parents home in Adams/Friendship area.
Eagle River W-A-G ice rallyX next weekend should be fun.

only three hours? that's chump-change for a drive to an event!

That being said, I dunno If I'll be able to make it or not. I haven't had time to check my wheel bearing yet.

Well I went up to Tomahawk today.

The ice is plenty thick.

It is a bit rough.

About 3" of snow on top of the ice.

Due to lack of interest and somewhat rough ice we're not doing this event. Short notice and nobody was really excited about doing this. It could be done, but I couldn't guarantee a great event because this is a new location and it wouldn't be plowed. Plus with only one car on studs it would be really slippery.

Thanks for the help today though Sleepersoob and finding us an alternate location. Perhaps in the future we can plan further ahead and do one up there.

Tom, thank you for driving up to Tomahawk and checking out the alternative ice rallyX location. To bad there wasn't enough interest.
Worked on the Audi half of the day. Did an alignment, tire rebalance and new alternator belt. All ready to go for next weekend. Eagle River here I come. But for tonight it's UFC time.:cool:

Thanks for coming up Tom, im glad we checked it all out. Not sure if I want to drop $40 dollars on eagle river next weekend since they dont even have an all season tire class at lest from what I read.
