yeah except all usair dates with ????

That means it hasn't been determined if it will be a lapping day or autocross.

The dates I have with USAIR are requests. Haven't been confirmed yet and there is always the possibility of getting bumped.

Passed these dates over to Ryan Gates to see if he has any interest in coming to an event. He sounded really into the idea last year, but was too busy with the new mods to the AMS Evo X.

Not sure which car he'd bring lol

Apparently they're listing the directions et cetera on myautoevents.com, from a link on the madisonautocross.com calendar. a little roundabout, but it's there...

clicky linky (http://www.myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmEventDetail.Show?psevent_id=12402)

Dells Raceway Park
N1070 Smith Road
Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

Basically, as you're coming in on I39, take Highway 23 West (exit 100), right through the Dells. You go over the bridge, then down the hill, take a right at the Country Kitchen (hwy 12/16). Go north for a few miles, and turn left on Dees Road, then Left again on Smith road, the track is on your left.

******* edit *******
ok, I just edited the Madisonautocross.com page of the event (http://madisonsportscarclub.com/node/158). Dunno why they didn't include directions and stuff, but it's there now.

Walk the track
8:30 AM to 10:00 AM

Mandatory Driver's Meeting

Rookie Practice

Timed Runs
11:00 AM - ???

SgtRauksauff

Depending on the number of rookies, sometimes the rookie runs are skipped, and we can get FCO at around 10:15 or so.

The writings been on the wall for a while now. The US and all other countries will be competing for oil, gas prices will continue to rise. Plus our job market will further tank.. jobs continuing to Mexico/China ect and the "EPA" "helping" us all out while the smoke stacks in China and Mexico bellow with pollutants. Pleasure boating will returM to the levels it was at in the 1930's. Very wealthly folks will own big boats and I am not knocking them most have earned it., every one else will have a small boat or a sail boat the only classic BW should consider thus wise is... The Classic 17 Montauk, with a 35-50 hp four stroke this boat can run many hours on a 12 gal tank which at a cost of $8 a gallon will cost 48 dollars to fill and be light enought to trailer with the smaller gutless autos/"trucks" we will be soon seeing. Oh well! you asked! Yes a 17 ft classic can run good enought with a 35 hp 4 stroke. 20 mph but ..Oh Well that better then nothing and yes you will be able to get out to fish! Whos going to be able to fill a 27 ft boat with 100 gal at 8 bucks a gal for a day or two's ride??? Get used to this old song.. "Buddy can you spare a dime" or really a ten spot. And the term, "Soup Kitchen"... Wow I am actually glad I'm old haveing lived and throughly enjoyed the hey days of cheap gas.. let her rip!

the 210 Montauk is much more a big Montauk than it is a modern Outrage 22. The lack of under gunwale rod storage in the 210 is significant, as is the lack of provision to lean against the gunwale with room below for your toes. With the gunwale sheer to the deck, you really have to be a few inches away from the gunwale right where you need it for support. The solid gunwales also prevent the use of flush mounted rod holders, a key feature on the classics, along with inboard cleats and hawse pipes. The 210 is shorter by nearly a foot, but also wider by a foot. I think this takes away from the aesthetics of the classic 22, which I've always though had ideal proportions. That wide beam likely causes some additional pounding in a head sea, but does increase interior space. I suspect the beam is necessary in order to shoehorn a porta potty into the console.
As Peter said, the lack of provision for twin engines or even a transom mounted kicker is a major drawback, a flaw that carries through much of the Whaler line these days. I also echo his comments on the lack of canvas options, something that once set Whalers apart from their competition. Sure, you can custom order something, and perhaps Mills will get around to designing a canvas set for this model, but with the classics, you could order it and pick up your new boat with correct canvas systems installed!
The 210 seems to perform well with the new 150 Four Stroke, outperforming the 150 Verado (weight penalty?) and doing as well as the 200 Verado save for 2 or 3 mph on the top end. Comparing these numbers to the performance of my Outrage 22 Cuddy with a 200 E-TEC, I suspect the 210 has significantly less hull deadrise, and is therefore more easily driven. The drawback of this is of course offshore performance, and I think the 210 is really envisioned by Whaler as a a big inshore/bay boat. Nothing wrong with that, but it's apples and oranges in my book.
The 210 console, while nicely configured for electronics, is poorly configured for access to the sort of things you keep in the console. The lack of an aft facing door in the console is problematic, requiring the pilot to leave the helm to retrieve pliers, binoculars, a jacket, whatever. Further, he has to step down and fetch it from inside the mini outhouse. While I understand the consumer demand for the tiny restroom, it more or less kills that space for functional storage, despite there being more space inside the console than on the classics.
Closing thoughts on this comparison: The classic 22 hull was available in a variety of configurations (3 different cuddy cabin models, notched and full transom models, outboard and sterndrive power, etc.) Whaler was able to offer a broad spectrum of boats appealing to a wide range of uses and price points using this strategy, something not seen in the current line.
