Just curious about events in the WI, MN, and northern IL. I know it varies from year to year, but when do they usually begin, and where are they?

Also, is there any chance of a CWSCC rallyX event anywhere? You guys know you wanna get your cars dirty!

No. Mr. Higgins is in the army or something like that.

Find us a location and we'll put on a rally x. We can't pay much for it though. Very small turnouts at rally x events.

How about a road rallye?

I will talk to some farmers and other people up by my parents house. Its in Merrill though. Theres some good roads and stuff through the fields, maybe they'd let us use them. They used to let me drive my STi out there for the short time I had it in WI, so it might be possible. I doubt they would even charge as long as we clean up after ourselves and be as respectful as we can to the crops. I will do some searching though.

If by road rallye you mean a TSD or Gimmick thing.....lets do it sometime.

I might have a location but it would require a plow to smooth out some ruts.. as well as muddy spots anywhere we want it.. would be free of charge if the owner is ok with us making some new trails etc.. its a wooded location as well so not sure how many of you would go for it

start asking about places now, so when we have time to actually do the event, we've got places to go!

Lets do this!!!

On a side note...our cars rally transformation is begining. Parts have been ordered, and there is more stuff to buy/fab  SCCA Rally Prepared class here I come!

Next up is a camber/caster gauge so I can switch springs/struts for autocross. I'm about to go find that now.

Long story lol. I just want the convenience to be able to do quick alignments at home....without a ton of measuring lol.

I used one a few times at the shop when I lived in TX. I really liked it.

If you guys need help building a track or whatever, I have a skidloader, and a tractor with a loader, backblade, brush mower, ect. I work, for almost free, just feed me soda or beer, lol........

no such thing of a quick alignment. Toe will be changed when changing ride height, and that’s more important than caster/camber.

They make a toe adapter for it......

As for the "quick" part, sometimes I think you guys take me a little too literally.

Dizmm

an alignment is all about being precise. doing it cheap/easy/quick doesnt really exist.

A camber/caster/ toe gauge is (im guessing) how they used to do alignments before the fancy laser guided ones they have today. So if you had one of those gauges that would at least be cheap.

Actually, I was taught to align vehicles with a measuring tape, and some string. Trust me.....this gauge makes life far easier. Its not perfect by any means, but it gets it close enough imo.
