I hate it when people turn EVO's into drag cars. They weren't meant to be driven in a straight line. Sure they can hold their own but they don't shine until you use the brakes and go through a few twisties!

Got to drive Extreme's new ride today.... WOW does that thing zig, zag, stop, and go!

^ You know when you see people out walking their dogs and you say "I think that dog is walking the person" ...... That is how I felt driving poopy. Like the car had a mind of its own and I was only along for the ride.

3 evo's went for a stroll in the park yesterday, and was that fun. extreme's new extremeEVO really takes those corners like a mad bitch. I did not expect to see extreme push the car that much, considering what happened at the last shawano.

PS: thanks a lot extreme for stealing my rally red evo...

Shit happens when you actually drive the car at its limit. VPT has never driven a car capable of generating enough speed to roll over.

i'm not arguing that shit happens. but the timing of the picture and the comments was too good.

That and for some reason I see way way WAY more pics of wrecked evos than ANY other car in the world!

well, many more people push the limits of the EVO on the track than just about any other car as well. don't see many Honda's getting that much action at a track. too slow and boring i guess.

Evos just happen to be 4 door very top heavy junk cars that like to roll over and hit curbs.

Very few people road race Honda's. I need not explain why.

The truth is for $25k the EVO is the most awesome all around track car ever produced. You can't open a car mag these days and not find a picture of an EVO in it. Even the redneck magazines like HotRod have EVOs in them.

Every time I go to BHFs a car wrecks. Last time is was a BMW. The time before it was a Porsche. Those cars must be junk too.

that's right, crash... then back it off a little the next lap. you've then found your threshold!

Do you have a point? Fast cars have accidents, even professional drivers have accidents. People fully enjoying their cars have accidents. Its all part of the game.

Many Evos get damaged because people drive the piss out of them. If you did something more than constantly tear apart yoru honda trying to make it as fast as my EVO then you might have something to worry about too. But instead your car sees no track time and no street time. He you barely leave the house unless someone picks you up. You have nothing else to do but complain about all the EVOs driving by your house as you bench race on the internet.

Evilution the road racing expert. Have you ever even been to a road race Evil?

Honda's are extremely popular road racing cars. Professional and amateur. Just go to a SCCA World Challenge event some time. They are popular because of their speed and reliability.

I disagree. Maybe all around car period, but not the best all around track car.

EVO's are heavy. Top heavy to be specific. There are lots of other cars out there that handle better. Motor Trend or Road and Track did a big article about handling dynamics. An EVO MR was one of the cars they tested and guess what - It didn't win.

$25k for an EVO. Ha ha you must have been hanging around with Mattsubishi lately. You've learned all about Matt-thematics.

a. It's not heavily modded or wasn't. Computer and turbo back exhaust.
b. I wish it would have been left stock - true
c. It was too good to pass up or so it seemed. The car has been a lot of grief.
d. See b.
