Key Coding

so my ignition locked up on the focus and I have been calling around to get some prices to get the new key coded to my car and so far the three dealership I have called gave me three different prices. Do any of you guys know of a place I can take my car to, to get the key coded?

PS I think its funny how 3 Different ford dealerships have 3 different prices for the same thing. Ranging from $35 - $78 for the same DAMN thing.

It's just a sequence you do inside the car. Try to look it up online. I've done it a couple times before when I used to work at Rosemurgy

Example:
New key turn ignition on/off 3 times
Old key turn ignition on/off 3 times
New key ignition on/off 5 times
etc...

Hmmm, maybe it is different though with the new ignition assembly...

Ah, then I'd take them up on the $35 offer. They probably have to reprogram your security system.
