Dizmm and myself didn't have enough after Blackhawk Farms on Saturday so we took a little drive over to Eau Claire for Chippewa Valley's autox held at the Tech College parking lot put on by the Minnesota Autosports Club. Ended up being a small lot with runs under 30 seconds, but a ton of fun! We got 10 timed runs, an hour lunch break, and fun runs at the end so it was an overall good day.

They have a lot of interesting classes that I'm still not sure I understand exactly. People could play Scrabble with the amount of letters on some cars. Somehow you can take a your BSP PAX factor for example, and mulitiply that by yet another street tire factor (divide by 72.32 times the square root of 19...I joke) and end up with corrected PAX factors approaching numbers in the .7xx range!!!

Anyhow, Dizmm killed it like usual, running a 26.9 second run (anything under 27 seconds was absolutely flying!) That was good enough for 3rd fastest raw time, only .175 seconds from the heavily modified FTD Corvette.

I was able to win the combined STU/STX by nearly 2 seconds. Not much competition but it was still fun to destroy the other competitors!

Nice driving Eric and Mr. Snezgard.

Did you get your seat fixed SnowX?

i just couldnt catch that SSM Vette. again i think with better tires, i could have taken him.

its always about the tire. I was having traction issues on the course, I spent a lot of time with the back end power sliding around some of the tight turns.

Erik, your mazda was awesome during the fun runs. too bad the timer wasnt on (dumb $5000 race america timing system needs a computer hooked up for it to function).

Seat was not fixed. Wasn't as much of a problem at the autox as it was at Blackhawk. I'm going to the dealer after work for a warranty claim :)

Yeah Dizmm's car was all over the place in the corners when I drove it in fun runs. It sure was a handful but made it really fun (just not fast)

that Pax stuff is really favoring ST classes holy balls.

Edit: if you look at some of their PAX factors, they are changed a bit compared to what SCCA uses. hmm...

maybe i should turn the evo into an STU car.

If I was a PAX guy I should have been in, get this, TDSP.

From what I've read in their rules and classing this morning...

DSP= .849
T (street tire for non-ST* classes) = .975 of your class PAX

so .849 x .975 = .827775 correct PAX score

My PAX time goes from 23.930 to 23.471 which moves me from 20th to 12th, ahead of Mr. Snezgard in 13th :)

I was talking with some guy from the Minnesota Autosports Club the other day on a subaru forum and the seem to have some sweet events actually around the state over there. My buddy from Duluth said either them or another group had an even over by them and that area is crazy.
