Looking for a factory amp for a 93' generation Chevy silverado, just so it works.

Um, well, its for my dads truck and he is all about factory. The truck has a radio, but also a amp, that is shorting out(causing radio to fail, and drain the battery). A factory amp, the amplifier for the radio?

if you get an entry level aftermarket radio/cd player, you can bypass the amp. cost is only a tad more than that factory amp will run you from a jyard.

however, if you wish to keep it stock... jyards usually have those amps laying on the shelf.

Ok, yes i need to have factory, i've told him to just get an aftermarket one that looks stockish, but no, completely stock is what he wants, thanks.

That looks like it. I had to take the cd player out of work truck which is like a 93 and it was missing the amp. I don't know where they hide that thing in the dash but I got ours zip tied next the steering column
