Sunday May 6th. Autocross at the Marshfield Super Speedway. Half mile oval so it should be a great time. Pre-registration and directions will be up soon.

I will be there. Hopefully the vette will be there too.
We'll see if some old detroit iron can keep up with all this modern stuff.

First weekend of the month is always a piss poor weekend for me ..... those are reserve weekends.
Besides we have Grattan that Friday so after one lap of lake MI and a lapping day I'll probably be all raced out anyway.

These local auto-x events are by far the most fun, not sure why anyone would want to pass up these events.

I'd probably go but I have reserves. Seems like these local events always land on the first full weekend of the month.

I would go as well, but I would rather stay here and work, instead of driving back for another weekend.

PDSM. Why don't you come home the May 5/6 weekend instead of the weekend before?

I have to admit I agree.
I went to prom 3 times when I was in high school (each time with a different girl) and all I did was dress up, eat in a fancy restaurant I could ill afford, and do all the things I didn't particularly enjoy (stand around and be uncomfortable, dance to songs I don't enjoy, and not make out with my date). It sucked.

I agree with vettehead for 2 of my proms, one was just alot of fun. Its not up to me though, and its not costing me a thing other than gas to drive home and back. Tux is payed for due to us getting good deals from where i got it and she is paying for food and the ticket cuz its not my prom at all anyway. I have blackhawk now to think about, if something happens that i can make this, i'll come up for a day or two, otherwise oh well.

You need to put more energy into racing!

Its amazing how much time and money goes into commercialized BS. Stuff like Sweetest Day. As if Valentines day isn't enough.
Even silly girl shit like baby showers have now graduated to coil showers .... guys are supposed to go to that shit.... what a bunch of shit.... might as well put a collar on me and drag me around kicking me every now and then. I'd rather have the flu than go to a baby shower. I dont understand how one could become so whipped.... I've seen far too many people give up something they love doing and blame it on growing up when we all know its more like getting broken down.
For some people prom might get you laid but if not its a huge waste of time and I highly doubt its going to be enjoyable.

Theres more to the story as there always is. We don't do anything for valentines day or any of that shit, we both agree its a waste of time and just commercialized. I'm doing this for her, cuz she has been sick the past 2 months with an unknown problem, and has been to hospitals across minnesota and wisconsin to figure it out. They just now may be figuring it out, so to do this for her, its not that big of a deal. I'm not a selfish ass like some people, and I would come up and race but damn, would you guys honestly drive down to madison for every event and race, i know TK might but Evil..Dizmm, i doubt it. I'm not going to miss a weekend of work and fun down here to go race when i'll be doing that this summer anyway. I'd rather be at college and have fun instead of going racing, something i have the rest of my life to do. You guys have pathetic arguements, that you have the rest of your life to do shit, well, her prom is a once in lifetime thing, so is going to college(pretty much), i have the rest of my life to race, so what if i miss one event when i'm 18.

however, i have to agree with evil on a previous post... some people call it "growing up", but maybe that's just a dummed down way of saying "giving in"

Thanks Devlish, somebody realized what i was saying. I've been to 2 proms(same girl different schools), and both were fun as hell, i'll remember them forever. I know this one will be kinda lame, but its something she wants to do. Shes fine with me racing and working on my car, she wants to come to shawano once or even WIR and see what all happens.
Whats the layout going to be for marshfield anyway?

dirving to madison is about the same distance to appleton/shawano, maybe 15 minute difference. I drive an hour to and another hour from work every day, i dont think i drive to madison is gonna stop me from racing. i say, make the drive to come up and have a good time, and stop BS'ing!
and dont give me that sabbing "I love you" boyfriend girlfrend crap, makes me sick.
Guys should not be allowed to have a relationship with only one girl, it should be banned!

Nothing all that special, just Falken Ziex 512's. They were what were on the car when i bought it and i only need 2 right now, i'm still kind of saving/deciding what track rims/tires i want to buy. I'm hoping to have my track rims by june for some more summer events. The Falken's make decent drag/street tires as they have a pretty soft sidewall and are a quiet tire ( I think).

Looking back at that call out thread..... it appears that most of the people stepping up no longer have a vehicle to participate with.
We should start a summer autocross and lapping day thread listing the dates of all the events..... our member can then add their name to each event they plan on attending. Call outs or excuses can then be built from the list.

Looks like PDSM is forfeiting the triple challenge already.
PDSM - We already had a discussion on why we didn't include Blackhawk. Pay attention.

The event date and time must be set in advance so all drivers can prepare for it. For instance, if I was involved I would need to know because I plan on a month of downtime for the tranny upgrade. To avoid forfeiting I would need to schedule my downtime around the challenge.
Originally I think Posihead, Blowntranny, and PDSM were the trio of the triple challenge. Later I believe Dizmm wanted to join in the fun. As of now I'm not even sure the first two guys will have a track vehicle for the Marshfield auto-x.

This should be great to see.
I rearranged my schedule leaving this day available. I'm not sure the car will be ready though.
Tomkat and I are headed to Grand Rapids, MI for a lapping day on the 4th and that will probably use up what little brake pads I have left.
I may show up just to take some pictures.
