Paint is cheap and I decided that the ls1 is to bootiful to hide under a cover..

I like it. Is there a lot more noise without the cover? That's one of the reasons they put covers like that on engines.

I wouldn't say my engine is "noisey" but when I run it with the plastic off, it's quite a bit louder.

Yes I can deff notice the injectors now at idle and isnt that ls intake painted mopar orange...

I was actually thinking about getting my intake and fuel rails done.. Not sure if there is a powder coating facility around here...

arent the L76 and LS1's different engines, i know they have different displacements

yupp, basically an LS2 6.0 block with L92/LS3 heads + the DOD hardware

The LS1 is considered a Generation 3 engine, while ours is a Gen 4 I guess the hsv engines are a mix of a few types not really sure.. The engine tag says L97.

LS2 Block (same part# even) though the bore supposedly is a smidgen smaller
+ L92 Heads
+ the DOD/AFM Crap
+ LS3 Intake manifold
