Awesome night! The jeep found a few snow banks to get the 4 wheels off the ground. Loved the rides.

The jeep is a tough beast. ITs got a really beefy skid plate up front to protect the steering linkage. Yep, managed to bend that so the center link bolt catches a reinforcement rib and makes a popping noise. Hope the hammer is upto the job.

Nice driving out there JJ in dizzms car. Those were some sweet runs. Im tempted to get some of those winter tires dizzm has for the jeep.

Would love to do that again! Only this time have all 4 working doors and sun visors that don't fall off...

sorry i missed it. sounds like a blast!

VPT... I agree, cannot beat McDill and the wheel to wheel racing, the safari swirl, the offroad courses, the people on hoods, skitching contests... it's just not like it used to be!! but it is usually still a good time.

^ most amazing move ever. packing anywhere from 8-12 people in the car, and basically "whipping shitties" on the ice. if i'm not mistaken, jackie eckes holds the record still. TK will have to confirm the body count and the rotation count as well.

Dizmm

I wonder when we'll see one of these show up to an ice event.

I believe the count was 8 360 degree turns.

I can't explain the physics of the Safari Swirl, but this is what would happen. Rounding turn 2 on the ice oval with a little too much speed an oversteer situation was induced. Once the car was 180 degrees off of it's intended direction reverse was engaged catpulting the car forward down the track spinning 360 degree turns all the way down the straight.

I've never been able to duplicate this move in any car other than the Pakistan Safari wagon. That car rocked. Best seat in the house was the way back during a Safari Swirl.

great explanation. yes, that car seemed to have the right about of weight in all the right areas to allow it to continually spin!!!

do you remember the body count??

do you remember the body count??

I remember taking the Pakistan Safari wagon to TT once. One car pulls up to TJ's and fills up half the restaurant. 12 people.
