Took engine outta the stealth

Yeah had a rod knock but no big deal have another motor thats getting ready. Anyway, since this my first engine pull outta a FWD car. What a bitch it was. Was I suppose to take the engine out with the tranny or w/o the tranny. I did without because I didn't feel like taking those damn shafts off.

btw, remember hearing my clutch slipping? lol its still somewhat good. flywheel side was almost gone but the PP side was like excellent lol. I'm getting a better one most likely a 6puck setup so I can speedshift :wink:.

O yea one more thing I just got a engine gasket kit and I also have MLS head gasket. I've never used MLS because there was never one for the conquest engine. Am I suppose to put some sealent on it or no?

copper spray on the headgasket i hear. but don't go off what i say. i might be wrong.

engine can come out with or without the trans in a FWD car. either way, good luck with your motor work man. sounds like you have your work cut out for you. keep us posted. BTW, what motor is going back in? same thing but maybe with a few mods or what??

just intake and exhaust is about all getting done. I gotta get the conquest done too. Thats where the money is going. Also the stealth is getting pretty much all engine cleaned up and all the rust shit getting painted up surprising just the engine has it which I don't get. Other than that the car itself is rustfree but one spot that the previous owner told me which you have to take the ground effect off the driver side.
