This all depends on the 'when' factor.
I'll take you all on with the AllTrac if it's possible.

Well if you have a nice car I'd stay away from the not so nice cars once the 10 lap race starts.

fixed. In a written-only form of communication, typing all of the words in the sentence you want to say is paramount.
And, since it seems that everyone wants to do crashing and bashing, I'm out.

What do you expect from evo owners? They have problems not hitting stuff when there aren't any cars around them let alone wheel to wheel.

Let the guys with the cheap cars smash each other. The guys with the nice beaters can race like gentlemen.

Thank you for the correction.
Ok, maybe the 10 lap wheel to wheel race should be a different event on its own. Talk earlier in the year was about how fun a smash-em up beater race would be.

I'll try to look for another beater if enough people want to do this.

What about maybe doing an ACTUAL demo derby at a fair?
My buddy Nate, who's currently in the Army at Fort Story, VA (literally ON Virginia Beach, lucky bastard!) was asking me about setting up a team when he comes home.
He had a '92 Legacy wagon that he set up for a derby, and ended up getting 2nd place a couple years ago. He'd have actually won, but his car overheated and wouldn't stay running. The other guy's car wouldn't run, or drive, or even move. They ended up drawing straws, and Nate ended up picking the short straw. Thinking about it now, he should've just used the starter to crank the engine while in gear, and tink the guy one last time... I don't remember if it was an auto or a manual, though.

the shitbox is always ready to humiliate the competition!!
I'd be in for this, and while I wouldn't mind a scuff or a ding here or there, I'm not really keen on a bumper cars style race...I need it to last me through the winter.
Also where/what is Du Bay? on the ice?
oh, and do you need to ride the short bus to participate in the 'special' stage? if so, Tom would definitely qualify for that...maybe that's why he keeps saying "special, special, special, extra special" lol
You know where Mullins Cheese is? Right off of 34. Its about a block away, and yes, its on the ice

I just saw this posted on another forum.. might be kinda interesting.....
We have a class at the local dirt track called "Cruisers". It has to be certain model 4 or V6 'Merican cars and the gas pedal is on the passengers side. Co-drivers get to contol throttle, driver gets brake. They seem to have fun.
reminds me a bit of the RallyX where TK was controlling the e-brake for me. fun!

I think if your going to smash a car you might as well race it, like an enduro, I plan on puting my shityer of the two escort gts i have in an enduro this summer in menomonie where i go to school. i think that would be intence 100+ cars top 20 get money.

Well the one here is 40 dollars for entry, safety is pretty much nother, gut car, no glass, move gas tank and battery, roll cage/ roll bar optional. they run pretty much every kind of vehicle there. The house Im renting next year is like under a mile from the track.
Im out to try as many auto-like events as possible even if its on a circle track

That sounds like maybe kind of a LOT of fun!!!!
What about rules as far as classing, regarding engine/transmission/driveline/wheel-size/tire-size swaps, and/or other mods?
I'm thinkin' Geo Metro with a 455 and a powerglide... :)

Maybe they give you the opportunity to buy it back, at the suspiciously convenient price of $900.00.
lame, though.

ya my friend that does it say they take the winning car and like raffle it off or auction or something, if you want it back then you just dont get the 900 dollars
