Why would you want to add weight to the highest point of your car?
I think the CF stuff looks good but I wonder if BIRD SHIT! would wash off!
I just saw a thread with and evo that did that:

o its not that much weight and the guy on nasioc says you can wash and wax it just like regular paint and comes off clean if you wish to remove it.also the carbon is matte otherwise i would be all over it

I know .... just giving you crap. If done correctly (without waves) it looks very good.

i dont really know you matt but lately ive been molding my own real carbon fiber pieces for my mini truck. If your roof is not wider then 50inches i could make you a real carbon fiber overlay around 15 mills thick. I could probably mold a roof replacement piece.... Cut out your old roof and rivet and glue the new piece in... I go through kurt first seeing as you wany it as a cosmetic feature... Just a thought an overlay piece would be relativly easy take me a few days but id need your car for those few days to keep rechecking the curviture.

how would it connect to the roof ?double sided tape? and this is interesting i really would like carbon to match hood but i also want it easy to remove in future so no cutting roof

probably looking at around 200 in price i have a very trick resin to make it all very easy i would put a piece of shrinkable suran wrap on your roof and shrink it with a hair dryer to the correct shape the place the cf cloth on it and resin shape it. The roof would have to be taped on however we would tuck it under the windshield trim and into the rain channels on the sides and rear window gasket like i said i need to kbow what type of car you have so i can look at the demensions is your hood 2x2 3mil? thats what most of them are... Same size squares as an evo spoiler

depending on the car tells me the difficulty level some cars require removal of the windshield for resin runoff. If there is a decent curve before the windshield the resin would build up and cause a very thick are around 40 mils which would goofy when we put the seal back down. To remedy this problem you remove the windshield to allow for resin runoff.

Jake post up some pics of the stuff you've already made.
I would think a roof would be a major project since it can't have any waves or imperfections in the clear.

just done a few small pieces that just finished drying planning on finishing my hood this weekend ill post pics of it when i get it were i want it. Theres no pic in posiheads post cuz nothing is finished yet...lol. Getting the cf to lay flat isnt the problem nor is stretching the weave slightly since its a non structual piece im still playing around with it now. Wrong time of the year to do it anyways unless you had a heated garage im doing everything in my basement. its not very hard to do just need to finish the sanding and buffing on the 4 pieces ive done so far. ill give you a call jeffro when i get my hood and fenders done next week then you can come inspect. We all know how miticulus you are
