I keep on tom about turning that CRX into a true rally car. Replace some of that old suspension, and put that roll cage he's got in. Drop it off a Extreme's for some extreme wait reduction, then install that race seat you got.

I'd rather turn Rattle into an autocross or possible wheel to wheel car, that's way down on the to do list. For rally stuff I'd rather just have a $100 car.

Getting Snowball back in running condition is higher on the list.

$1000 car or less = perfect off-road rally car. Any more and you worry about breaking shit. But too cheap and the car wont get you to/from events.

I'm not sure where you shop but there is an EVO graveyard just outside of Madison... they have tons of bumpers for a couple hundred bucks. I wouldn't expect to need many bumpers with a studded AWD EVO.

Either way good luck on the hunt for a rally car. I think a 1G dsm would be fun.

Even at $200 each. That's $400 just for parts then you have to paint them. It would be at least a grand by the time all was said and done with used parts.

Oh yeah and don't forget the undertray. Those are really cheap.....NOT.

I bought a color matching bumper for like 300 or 350 shipped but it did take a month to find. I do still have my old one.... you can throw it on for winter if you want. That way if you hit anything you wont care!

donut spares FTL, they flex WAY too much, and don't really have much of a bead to hold them onto the rim. Overcome those problems, though, and they'd probably be great!
