Hmmmm..... I am all for it IF my normal group doesn't play on Sunday. If you are interested over the summer we normally have 20 or so people play out at Dam Road.
SPSRA has played a few times and can confirm it kicks ass.
Do you have any supplies???

I picked up some paint and filled my tank tonight so I should be ready ..... hope the weather holds out.
ok...here's how you get to my house from point:
take the casimir rd. exit as if you were going to old wausau rd. turn left on casimir towards old wausau and continue for a couple miles until you hit walkush rd. (the road will curve to the right and there will be a dirt road straight ahead, go down the dirt road).. i am the red house on the left at the end of the road.
we should all be out there shortly after noon.

I've seen Evil go into "special forces" mode on someone. The guy caught a punk in a car (while Evil was on his bicycle) that threw a bottle out of the window at Big Erv of Big Erv's Motorsports and Paint. It's awesome and I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of it. I can just imagine what he can do if you give him a gun.

I'm a lover not a fighter. As for paintball.... my group should be starting up shortly... We play every Sunday out at Dam road which isn't that far out of town on 10.
Dam Road Rec Ball starts at 9:00 and usually goes until about 2:00.
HPA fills are available on-site for $5 for the day
CO2 fills are now once again available on-site; prices vary with tank size.
If you have your own equipment, please bring everything you plan on using for the day. Otherwise, rentals markers are available on site. If you need, or suspect you may need a rental unit, please call ahead. We normally only bring a few in case of equipment failure. Additionally, if you need any parts, please call ahead as soon as possible. You may also wish to bring water and food.
Terrain includes a pine plantation, hardwood forest, open fields, and a sand pit. We play a wide variety of games, and are happy to take suggestions for new types.
Directions from Stevens Point: Drive west on highway 10 from Stevens Point turn right on County Hwy E go about 5 miles and then turn Right on Dam Road .5 miles down on the left, look for cars and fun.
Directions to Dam Road from Mosinee: Take Highway 39 south, get off Highway 39 at Knowlton Highway 34 (Exit 179). Follow Highway 34 south (about 4 or 5 miles) and take a left on county Highway E. Follow E (for about 4 miles) and then take a left on Dam Road.
If the forecast calls for rain, please call 715-340-3082 to see if we are still planning on playing.
i can put together a pretty big group... tell me when you plan on playing out there and ill see if i can make it... ill make sure to stretch my throwing arm

Originally our group consisted of some very hard core guys and games were very competitive. Last year we had several birthday parties for kids aged 12-15 and a bachelor party here and there. Most of the guys I enjoyed playing with got married, had kids, and simply stopped playing. If you can get a large group together that would be great.
We have all the supplies out there. Paint is about $40/case and air/co2 is cheap. I enjoy the natural field cover and concealment over the typical inflatable pillars and bunkers. Unless you are very aggressive I recommend wearing camouflage. Masks and barrel plugs are required. Arm bands differentiate teams.

Get off your ass, get out of your car, and get into the woods. Enjoy the cool fresh fall air and get some excersize while your at it. Nothing gets the old blood pumping like full on fire fight with full automatic weapons and paint balls headed your way at 200mph.

October 6th is considered "THE BIG GAME". This event normally draws in 30-40 people. There are raffles for paintball guns and supplies. There's free food and drink. There's even a sharp shooter competition!
If you've ever wanted to give paintball a try this would be the weekend for it. It may very well be the last weekend of the season as well.

Made the decision after playing a quick game with a couple roomates, that I'm going to get back into paintball, i'd rather not buy a set of cams and have this much fun.
Question, I have been out of it for a while, and need advice on a gun choice. I don't play speedball, i frankly hate it! I love woods ball, and being a sniper. I love to just creap around and pick people of, rather than running around with a full-auto widow maker. I know a new barrel will be an immediate thing, i just need a gun first, price range will be under $200, i'll be shopping around alot.
Might I make a suggestion.. look at the Tippmann A-5, they are a little bit more then your $200 price tag new but maybe on ebay you could score one. I've had 2 of them in the past they are excellent rec guns. Durable as all hell, and you can if you want get some serious firepower with some upgrades. I put around 15,000 balls through mine and maybe broke 3 balls total. These were barrel breaks on top of that so nothing messy. Tons of barrel options, just an all around great gun. Works great on Co2 and Nitrogen/compressed air.
A few years ago I was really big into paintball. Was on a sponsored team even. Had to quit due to some heart problems and surgeries. Would love to get back into it but on the level I played it was nearly impossible to do a tournment without spending $100-$350+ a day, even with sponsorship. I just dont have the funds to do that anymore.
Just like anyone though I got my start in the woods and it's still a blast. I should really get my gun and tank fixed, and come out and play sometime with you guys.

I'm horribly against Tippmann's, i just hate the AK-45 style of the guns(everyones got one). I used to have a spyder, and felt it was very dependable, but not very good. I am looking for something other than a spyder and a tippmann(unless the new spyders are good sniping guns.)
I have always had a tippmann 98 custom with a SC II barrel and there wasn't ever a time I was unhappy with it. Except for one outing that I tryed one of those bannana barrels that just totaly blows the guns accuracy but gives it some more distance. They are very very good guns that are very reliable, why you so against them besides everyone has them? (Sounds like I'm talking about an evo... )
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/5808/paintball002vc1.jpg
Oh yah, and it is one of the few guns you can aim down the top of the barrel and use the sights. Other guns have the hopper tube in the way.

Exactly, it like an Evo! I would love a autococker, Fordsucks had one back in the day and I kinda liked it. I need to do more research on the new spyders, there is a sniper version I kinda like. I also need to look up the pro's and con's with using different kinds of air(other than co2).
Well compressed air and nitrogen are the same thing, they do not vary pressure in hot and cold temps like co2. Very consistant, no chunks of frozen co2 no syphon tubes needed, no wondering how many shots you have left with a compressed air tank.
VPT is also correct that is another great reliable gun. There is a reson people are telling you about Tippman guns.. they are damn good for the price. The spyder line up.. is not so hot, they are ecno guns, TERRIBLE quality control in the production line. Shitty warranty, just honestly nothing great about them. I'm not trying to rain on your parade, just sharing with you some of the things I've seen in my years as a gun tech and playing, reffing, etc.
Ah yes the god ol Autococker. They are some great guns but.... you have to learn how to tinker with them. They are honestly 10 times more touchy then most other guns and much more complex. I own one personally, extremely accurate, wicked fast, generally reliable with good setup and maintanence.
The autococker due to it's design (closed bolt) is actually a more accurate then the tippmanns, the spyder, and mostly all other open bolt guns out there. The way it fires is different and has dramatically less recoil.

Um, the autococker has a closed bolt, and the other ones have the open bolt(from what i have read). I've made my decision of getting an Autococker:). Spent many hours the past few days reading, and i like them, just need to find a good price.
Ah yes my fault.. I just typed it backwards..... it's supposed to say closed bolt. I'll edit my post.

I have a 4800psi scuba A5 with Egrip and tear drop. I have fired more than 50,000 rounds through my gun and never had a problem.
Everyone I know with an A5 is 100% satisfied. Just like an evo everyone has them because they kick ass and do not break.
PDSM.... come play with us next weekend (woodsball) and see how your sniper approach works out for you.

I won't have the gun yet. I'm planning on ordering it at the end of the week. I am literally starting from scratch, so i need a new mask, and hopper, and tank(going co2 with regulator), and paint. The car still needs an oil change before the GSS autocross. I've been to Dam road before, i love that place!

There are rentals available for $5. Its super cheap to play with us. $40/case of paint and $5 for air. Sunday will be the last game of the season for me. Probably the last game for everyone unless the weather and participation holds out better than we expect it to. We had 19 people show up last time for the party but after that event the numbers normally drop rapidly.
We are for sure playing on the 21st. The 28th is the GSS autox so I'm skipping PB that weekend. November 3/4 I have reserves again and then I'm off to Hawaii for two weeks. Bottom line I have only this weekend left.
It would be nice to see some new faces out there.

I was diagnosed with a symptom called SVT (Supraventricular tachycardia) had to have 3 heart surgeries to finally fix it. I also had it in a very rare spot that is extremely hard to cure.

Wait a minute I read your post better.. Ha I had the same shit. Hope everything goes well for you.

It's pretty simple once you have the basics. The numbers such as .48, .68, .88 refer to the size in cubic inches of the tank itself. Meaning they hold that much volume. The other numbers such as 3000, 4500, and sometimes 5000 mean the max air pressure you can safely run in that tank and system. I personally think a .68/4500 is all anyone would need. It's not to massive and you'll get 800-1500 shots off a fill.

No problem, might I also suggest maybe poking around on some paintball forums if you're looking for a deal on a used tank or gear. PBnation, A-5 forums, AIR forums are some of the places I've been in the past with great luck. If you're buying a used tank, make sure you get pics of the bottle, and ask when it's due for a hydrostatic testing. All tanks overe 2" in diameter require this every so many years depending on the tank. After all you're running around with a bomb, it pays to make sure it's safe.
