October 25th Shawano Lapping Day at USAIR.


There will be a Morning session and an Afternoon Session. You can sign up for either one or both. Price is $70 for each, or $120 for both.

We have a max of 28 cars per session. You will receive 15 minutes of track time per hour for a total of 1 hour track time per session.

Pre-registration is required.


Morning Session:
Gates Open - 7:30am
Drivers meeting - 8:40am (Mandatory)
9:00am - First Car Out
1:00pm - Event ends

Afternoon Session:
Gates Open 11:30am
Drivers meeting - 12:40pm (Mandatory)
1:00pm - First Car Out
5:00pm - Event Ends


Requirements for event:
DOT approved helmet
Valid drivers license

Car must pass a general safety inspection:
-Seat belt/secure seat
-Battery secured
-No loose suspension parts
-Firm brake pedal

I'm still not sure whether or not I'll go. With ~3 hours to get there, if it's anything like the ~2hr. drive to milwaukee sunday, will require something to thaw me out!!! I don't know if I'll have any free time to change heater cores.

If I DO go, I need to make sure to have the grudge match against that silly honda guy that had "brake problems" last time and left early....

Not sure I want to run such nice tires on such a tire hungry track. Since I'm not sure if I will have another set of auto x tires for next year, these may need to be my timed event tires. We'll see how I feel Sat about it.

Both cars broke drivetrain parts. I think your theory can hold true with almost all cars.

Doubling a car's (including evo) engine output leads to broken stock drivetrain parts.

All depends on how you drive it.. how it's maintained. Then of course luck.

No car or parts on a car are perfect. The EVO has plenty of bad things, and even more good things going for it. For the price and performance it's hard to beat no matter how you look at it.

Right, there is ALWAYS a weakest link. when you start modding stuff, you'll find weak links all the time.

well when I drove your car a week or so back, boost was it what, 36psi? Now its only at like 20psi. I'd say that’s a bit detuned.

Very odd I thought with the after noon events!! In the morning I was pretty close with andy and miciah and then in the afternoon it was way off from them.. IDK if something got mesed up or what, or maybe I was getting worse as the day went on, but thats not how it usually works!!
