This company has good brakes and they are cheap too.

My cousin had the drilled and slotted brakes on his Lexus LS400 and didn't baby them...never had a problem.

Check it out. http://www.r1concepts.com/

i think there is a huge difference between "didn't baby them" and "beat the shit out of them at a highspeed lapping day"

i wonder if they'd really hold up to abuse, not just spirited driving.
interesting link though

they sell solid rotors.....but i'm sure for the DD and auto-x they will be fine. I'm not 100% sure on lapping day type abuse. But who knows, he loved them and he bought another set for his other car.

I acctually think they're a bit over priced.

Here is all you need to know about brakes:

For rotors, find the cheapest solid disk rotor at any local parts store. Bumper to Bumper seems to be the cheapest for most rotors.

For pads:
Street only - Cheap autozone pads
Street/auto-x - Hawk HP+'s
street/track/lapping days: Carbotech's!!!

I agree with this 100%. I'm to lazy to change out my pads so I just rock whatever pads I have in at the track and on the street. I will however change my pads for a high speed lapping day. Carbotechs !!!! Yes please.

On a side note I had the R1 Concepts rotors on my SRT4 and had 0 problems with them at all of the auto x events and lapping days at Shawano that I have ever done with that car. In fact they are still on the car as we speak with its new owner. If I were to do a high speed event I would swap those out for some solid rotors and better track pad.
