So the spring thaw we had really made me want to get out and ride. Sure we have Mountain Biking Mondays and Trail Riding Thursdays.... but....

Something I want to do at least once this year is ride the local area mountain biking trails like 9 mile. I wouldn't mind finding a real trail to ride as well. Would anyone be interested in a mountain biking vacation? I've always wanted to go someplace KICK ASS and simply ride my bike down some rockin' single track. I used to ride trail like that all the time in California. Lake Tahoe would be insane to ride. I've driven through it but never got to explore on two wheels. Check the link out:

there are a lot of nice mountain bike trails in door county as well as sparta. something worth looking into. i'd love to do a trip to Cali, but time & $ will not allow this year for sure. something local (in state) would be fun though

i'd be up for white water rafting on the Peshtigo River this spring yet if anyone else is up for it?? i'll make all the arrangments if people are interested. i went a few years back and had a blast. it's normally a 3hour rafting trip, but the water was so fast in the springtime, it was only about an hour. it was a BLAST!!

i coudn't figure out how to turn it on, except holding the button on the side down, so i'd sit there and fill it up, then go blast for a bit, the fill it up...i somewhat did your stuff, my stuff didn't turn out the best either because of the confusion with the compressor. That VIN plate just didn't want to clean, i worked on that for quite a bit. I'm used to my compressor just having a big red switch on top, oh well, the brackets are on the car now.

Ok, so this big jacked up truck comes barreling down the road, 3 people go off to the left side, while PDSM sways to the right. the truck jumps the curb and aims straight for PDSM!! it came so close it caused PDSM to swerve violently, hit some shrubs in the front yard and go down HARD!! by the time he gets back up, the truck has turned around and 2 people in the bed of the truck are firing paintballs at him from close range, pegging him in the face, chest, and exposed arms. welts and shit everywhere! about 20+ direct hits!! PDSM goes back down in pain. the other 3 bikers get over there eventually to help PDSM while the truck speeds away. on a slow trip home, nursing his wounds, a old 'gutless cutlass' rounds the corner and sure enough, more paintballs!! this time from behind, leaving another 3-4 welts on his back!! one went astray and hit evils leg... this did not sit to well with him!! he takes off at high speed to catch the cutlass. as luck would have it, the cutlass gets a flat tire, and evil catches up 2 blocks later. he reaches in through the open window, pulls the guy out through the window, causing some of the glass to shatter and break. Evil grabs the paintball gun, and give the perpatraitor 2 shots at point blank in the leg. drops him to the ground, and just stares at the driver and other passenger, who flee the scene on a flat tires.

After work I did another trail riding Thursday..... Pretty good ride but the bugs were terrible along the river. Even with the sun out the bugs were thick enough to necessitate riding glasses.

Again I was surprised at the changes made to the circle. The southern most end of the river path has completely changed and multiple new bridges have been added. Also some of the single track (walking trail) has been rerouted into a service road. I was disappointed to see that but happy with the other changes.

Then I hauled ass down along the plover river up to Iverson where I ran in to PGT Steve. We then took the streets back to my place. It was a solid one hours ride at a pretty decent pace. I wish more people were game.

Myself, Posihead, John, Mrs. Dizmm, and Turbo Chick headed out after dark tonight. The headlight test was a wash. TC's new halogen light and my new LED were about equal. The LED had a better spread, but the halogen had more range.

Great night for a ride. Posihead and myself headed out from Race Central with his newly tuned up bike.

Decided to hit up the island because I haven't done that trail yet this year and Posihead had never been on it. I told him this was an advanced trail and not for beginners so he was all ready to go. The full moon helped guide the way.

I forgot how much fun that trail is. :D

Stopped at the Ace Automotive and got to see the new hoist lift up its first vehicle. A big Dodge truck. It worked just fine.

The log that raped my foot holster sucked though, lol... :lol: We also heard a HUGE splash right next to us when we first got onto the trail, sounded like a fricken belly flop off the bridge!!! Tom mentioned that it might be "CATZILLA", and to be alert and not get too close to the edge, "or he will get you"... :shock: Good times, lol! I finally got home on my bike at 4:15am after letting the South Point settle in my gullet... Looking forward to next MBM already! :wink:

Well that worked out really well as of this morning i had completely ran outta toilet paper it appeared tk and posihead were kind enough to drop some off last night they just didnt want to wake me up so they left it in the garage . I'll make sure i drop some off for you next week as you were so kind last night. :)

The last couple of weeks have provided some of the best riding this year. Last night was just beautiful. I rode nearly the entire circle cutting off only the portion from the ranger station to HH because I was a bit spent from the island. The air was fresh and temps perfect for a hard core push.

As of last night I have modifed my start time to 7:30pm. Not that it matters because you lite weights haven't been showing up the the previously stated start time anyway.

I'll be posting here if the start time is modified.

I haven't changed my MBM schedule since July. I announced it in this thread and all the other MBM threads multiple times. You and PDSM are alot alike I guess because he tried to claim the same thing. Then he backs out do to being too tired after BB. TK likes to set a time then change it to something like 9:30pm which is later than most of the regulars want to go.

I was ready to go at 6pm but no one showed up so I waited til 7:30. Now I'm letting everyone know next week will be 7:30 unless its below 50*.

I haven't missed an MBM since my trip to Chicago. In fact I even went in Aug when TK claimed it was raining but it wasn't.


He saw my post about leaving for a trail ride. Should have let his fingers do the walking.

As for your bike-x it about as well planned as anything else you do.

Next week I will be leaving my house at 6pm for some circle riding and may even hit up 9 mile on Thursday.

Last week I posted that I would be leaving my house at 6 pm. This was to enjoy the sun, avoid the bugs, and actually get some real riding in.

You guys pussed out or couldn't make solid plans because of rain.

^ I posted I was leaving at 8pm. I didn't do much more than ride past Sentry to Jordan then back in via North Second. Later I called PDSM and he said you were on your way back to your place so I left again and did some trail riding. Bugs were not bad on the trail as it was cooler near the water and no lights to draw out the bugs.

I contacted you twice about my rides. If you cannot read or keep track of various threads stop starting new ones and use the official one.

I am in Chicago all week for training. I will not be organizing an MBM or TRT this week.

Next week... Aug 4th I will be leaving at 6PM. I'm heading up to 9 mile for some single track riding.

I'm about to leave the house for 9 mile. It appears no one else has the balls to leave the streets and parking lots.
My departure time will be 6pm from now on until I annouce otherwise. Leave from my house at 6pm sharp. I will be enjoying standing rocks this week. You are welcome to join me I will drive.

I will be ready at 7:30 this evening.

Kinda of a light weight TRT tonight. Once again no one showed up to ride. As I was riding past the UW I spotted the likes of TK and P10 so I chit chatted for a bit. Then hit the lake loop for a brisk high speed lap. Ended the night with a medium trek along the golf course. Temp was 52* tonight. That was on the verge of being to cool to enjoy riding at speed.

Beautiful November night for a ride. We hit up the new section of the Green Circle that leads from Wilshire to Torun Rd. All new wooden bridges make for a really cool trail, but we found out right quickly that they are not quite completed.

The wood bridge was not finished and ended abruptly into a swamp. I thought it would be really cool to skid my back wheel to a stop right up to the endge of the construction. Well the wood was wet and I just barely made it to a stop before going over the edge. Then Posihead comes racing up behind me - rear ending me and pushing me even closer to the edge. :x
