OK, so I dont really need help, but I do need info on a possible owner of a 1938 BSA car, Series 6 Scout from somewhere around Green Bay area in 1975. I've had this car for several years and absolutely no history. It has three plaques on the firewall; WISCONSIN SPORTS CAR CLUB, 16TH Annual Rally, July 20, 1975. 1st Annual Field Trials, May 18th 1975. 3rd Annual Club festival and Chicken Roast, sponsered by "OLD CARS" & the "LYONS International", IOLA, WS, July 13, 1975. Plus a plaque labeled "Photo shoot" Greenbay Packers Stadium 1975.
On the windshield is a 1975 faculty parking decal for St Norberts College, West DePere, WS. Its dark green, RHD, steel wheels. Roughly the same size as an MG TC.
Is there someone out there with a very very long memory? or old club periodicals, I'd like to find the owner(s). It cleared customs on Oct 1938 for a Mr Merle Adams, address unknown. This ol'car is fairly original and in good running condition. It deserves to have some history attached.
Anything will be appreciated,

I don't think anyone on here is old enough to help you out unfortunately... BSA's are English made and FWD, right???

Did some research for you! The pictures came from this guys Flikr photostream: http://www.flickr.com/photos/carphotosbyrichard/3247569897/
From what I gathered by looking through the other pictures, the picture of your BSA Scout was taken in 1994 at Meadow Brook Hall in Rochester Hills, Michigan at the annual Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance! It is held every August on the grounds of Meadow Brook Hall and has been since 1979. This week-long event is one of the largest and most prestigious collector car shows in the world, making it a premiere social event. Here is the WIKI page for Meadow Brook Hall: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meadow_Brook_Hall
I'm sure they keep pretty good records of shows like that, so if I were you, my next step would be to contact whomever is in charge of organizing it to see if they can help! I'm pretty sure something like that would be a "by invite only type show"!

I hope this helps in your search!
BTW, Awesome piece of history you have there! Can I have a ride? :) Also, if you don't mind me asking, what's the car worth???
Damn, Posihead for the win.

Thanks for the photo info and Meadow Brook, I know the place well, live 50 miles north of there. NO, you cant have a ride unless your 5'-1" or shorter and weigh 100lbs max. thats all the space behind the wheel will allow. It takes me 5 minutes to get in and the wheel is up against the family jewels, those Brits must have been midgets in the 1930's. I found the car locally stored in a garage, the lady of the house threatened to call the scrap yard if the owner didnt "get rid of that junk". I've had it 5 years, there's another like it in a museum in Tampa Fl area. I have no idea what its worth, but its complete w'top and side curtains. It really belongs in a museum, the poor thing dos'nt have enough power it hit 50 and it wont hardly stop even though I've rebuilt the cable brakes entirely......Bernie

It says exactly what he wants! He has the pictured 1938 BSA Scout, and is looking for info on the car because he has no prior history of it. Such as who owned it, what it was used for, racing history, etc...
