July 24th test and tune at WIR. gates open 4 pm. $20 to run, $5 to spectate.

WIR in it's entirety is a shit hole. The folks that work there provide nothing absolutely nothing to the customer. The facility is the worst one around. The cars that run there are unsafe and more often than not dump fluids down more than 50% of the track.
Because of this I will continue to share my true feelings about WIR and will not stop. If you want talk about that shit hole feel free but I will always add my two cents. But you don't have to take my word for it ... there are many more on this forum that feel the same way.
If you go to this track its because you are a cheap, lazy, or simply don't mind giving your hard earned money to a facility that doesn't give a shit about its customers. And for that I feel you deserve to hear my view again and again.

The rocks will only break glass and dent cars when the RWDs do burnouts its a real nice setup. Even though most of our cars will spin without assistance..... the water box you are forced to drive through doesn't help any. Very hard to control wheel spin with wet tires. Eventually you'll catch the traction compound which will provide a handsome amount of drivetrain shock which transfer cases just love to absorb.

I missed that day in stone flinging class, but odds are no. Could a stray stone fly out, sure, is it going to cause catastrophic damage to your car, I dont think so. How many eyeballs have been knocked out from racing on the street and standing right behind the starting line?

My imagination tells me WIR is a rock mine field with the likely event of many unguided missle hazards. That combined with the braid dead employees spells damage.
I suppose it doesn't matter if you drive a primer colored mud bucket.

PS- Who cares if people know how "slow" your car is. Your car is what it is, whether the lights show the time or not. I'm honestly just hoping for high 12's which is probably slow in the eyes of most WSD'ers.... i mean, WTD'ers.

my car is doing goofy things for knock correction at idle... once that is worked out, i'm game. it might have been a dirty MAF, so that is now cleaned, and i'm waiting for another 100 miles or so to review the learning-view, then retune. then i'm game.

Kurt when I checked your Learning View it showed knock/timing all over. The tune is not set perfectly for your car. You need to pay someone to get it road tuned.
Is the Rom Raider logger showing knock counts at idle. If so as long as it is under 9 it is fine. Most subies show a few counts at idle. Otherwise you might want to try some new plugs.

gates open at 4, racing starts at 5. I recommend getting there before 5 though. This is also a high school and Test & Tune night, so probably around 7 they will do high school brackets racing. So I plan to get as many runs in as I can before they start that and if people are still around after the bracket racing is over, I'll watch/run some more.

I can understand why people dislike WIR, I agree with some of it. The pits suck, the rain/no rain/cancelling stuff is totally fuct up, but goddamn man, you gotta let go. I dont see you actually influencing anyone and causing them to stay away because you dont like it.
It sure beats the other local alternatives. Then again, I shouldnt even talk, I havent been racing since last September.
