(<-- just what i found, don't blame me if that's wrong) some require more than that, but all 50 require that as a minimum. however, each state sets their own guidelines for fines. I bet it was a pot brownie. One time, a couple of years ago, I was about to go into an airport. A friend breaks out a brownie, I ask him WTF he's eating a brownie for at a time like that. He explains why, and gives me a decent sized piece of it. Didn't think it would do anything.
Go through airport security and check in and all that stuff, nothing happening. Browse the shops for a bit. Have airport lunch. Nothing. Go play Daytona USA 2 in the arcades while waiting for the plane. WHAM that game is suddenly really fun. $15 doolers spent on that game. Then $5 for various items from a vending machine. Didn't wear off until well after the trip from MN to CA.
It was fun and all, but it would really be weird if you don't expect it, while at work, and you're a bit smaller than 6'3" 280 pounds.

Prentice was done some years ago. The street is still the same, full of cracks, rough as hell, but now its just covered in crap rocks.

exactly, it was done YEARS ago. and now after 5yrs its in need again. but for less than 1/10 of the cost to repave it completely, it lasted another 5yrs, and only blocked off prentice street for 1 day while it was being redone, instead of 1 month. it fills in the cracks nicely so the road doesn't heave or split more after winter. i'm not going to argue that i hate it just as much as you do, probably more becuase i leave the house a LOT more than you do and actually have to drive on it... but it does serve a purpose.

There was a section of County Road south of Hancock that I take to work and they put pea gravel down last summer. I had to drive a different way for about a week so I didn't get chips in the paint and windshield. But now the road is pretty good. It is louder than before, but the bumps and cracks are gone.

It does serve a purpose, but it still sucks.
