I am looking at some 5x114 rims and my pattern is 5x100 what do wheel adapters effect handling?looks?strenth? just want a little info found a set for 100 thank you
I wouldn't do it. My experience with wheels and adapters is not a good one. Slotted wheels are bad, its all bad. Wheels should be the perfect bolt pattern and mounted with the correct lugs/bolts.

slotted wheels?
Yes, back in the day they made wheels with slotted bolt holes to fit the 5x100 or 5x114 and you would use the correct washer with a offset hole in the wheel slot. I broke 4 studs simultaneously and went for a fun ride because of slots.

Can't you just find a set of rims that fit for $450?
How about swapping the hubs(or rest of suspension if needed) for ones from a 05-07 WRX STi? Those are 5x114. That way, you can sacreligiously put EVO wheels on a Subaru until Richard Burns rises from his grave and smotes you with great anger!
;)
I'd keep searching like mentioned for a set of wheels like these or whatever you like in a 5x100

im searching just very hard to find and these seamed like a really good deal
You don't have to tell me about getting wheels you want for the price you need. Took me like 3 months to get wheels and they still aren't the color I wanted.

I've got my set of stock rims from my saab....17" the tires on them are super bald Pirelli P6's (and one flat one). They aren't black, but I don't have any use for them right now. Let me know.
