I think living in Hawaii would be a love hate relationship (like most). The place is great but it would feel small after awhile. If you like the weather move to San Diego. That would be the ultimate place to live.

FYI .... The shell station just got a fresh truckload of turbo blue in. The price is a little higher than last year but at $5.25/gallon but the sweet smell of 110 nectar is worth it if you ask me.

i have firestone do all my aligning... then again i know the store manager pretty well. and he and i do it the way I want it done. some places will not not adjust if it's "within' spec", whereas i make sure both left/right are on, not just 'within spec', becuase that just means they proibably aren't the same.

honestly, i was less than impressed with the performance of the truck last night. i expected to see more now knowing you've had the supercharger ported and brought out this special chip to show us. i guess i thought those trucks brought more to the table in stock condition. guess i was wrong. don't get me wrong, still a nice lookin truck, and it's pretty quick too... for a truck. i just always thought they had more. then again, the last lightening i watched race was running 11's at KK a few years back.

Who said I had all this work done? I set the damn truck back to stock last week, stock non ported supercharger, stock Boost actuator, stock non-ported heads, and stock plugs, the only thing I had going for me was the temp outside, I called tom on the way back complaining that my truck kept killing, Chip need to be taped in aperently, So I raced a stock STI with a STOCK lightning with a catback and nittos, thats it, no ftvb, no added boost that the temp didnt give me last night, only weight reduction was a 3lb windshield washer sprayer resivior removed, If you want to check for your self come on over, MY TRUCK IS STOCK RIGHT NOW!!! wow I lost to a STI that runs 13.4's stock and I lost without using my tune by a fender, to me that is pretty impressive seeing as I have launched the truck a grand total of 5 times this spring! And no the second race was alot different in the launch, The first race my frond bumper never got behind his rear, the second race I was behind by almost 3 and my truck died right before the end of the quarter, I had the same problem last year, obviously I dodnt have all the kinks worked out. So if your going to complain that my truck isnt stock for having a catback that adds mabey 5 horsepower, and DR's then go shoot yourself in the foot. To me its stock.

Yep when we got back into town I stopped at toms house and i decided that I would turn my truck back to stock, so i could race in stock class. I have alot of my parts for sale on lightning forums and i am thinking about gettin a quick change setup buy im still undecided... since sunday morning the truck has been stock! hey, it's all hearsay about the non-stock condition. at one point everyone is hearing it's NOT stock, then it's in pieces, yet you're driving it the next morning, then it's stock again, then who knows... ok, so it's stock, with a chip of some sort. i love how people get so bent out of shape on the internet. it makes me smile.

Honestly you can't judge the performance of the chip by the outcome of the two races.....I'm sure the STI didn't deliver the same exact run twice.... there are a ton of variables....

Funny how people are ripping on him and most dont even have a streetable race car right now. Some haven't had one in a couple of years. My only rip on him is that he wont attend the BHFs event!

I'm happy to see that someone actually tore their shit appart, put it back together, and got it on the street early in the season. Do I need to bring back the winter mods thread???

i did say it was fast for a truck. honestly though, i was expecting more. and that's what i said. i also mentioned the last lightening i saw run the 1/4 did it around the 11second range... now THAT was fun to watch!!! i guess i was expecting something like that. i honestly have never seen a stock one run the Qtr, and just thought they were quicker than that. it would beat my cars, then again most of them are 4cyl's.

I could not decide over the winter what setup to run, I finally figured out how i wanted to approach this season so i started buying parts that would get me in the 11's. All the pieces I purchased were going to make my truck capable of running 16 psi+ 125 shot of N2O. I ran out of money to to my last minute purshases of a motocross bike and a few other toys for this summer there for I threw my dyno tune money out the window, everything was ready to be hooked up except i didnt have the $ to finish the last couple small things and the dyno tune. Nore will I have the funds to complete it for the summer, As a last minute decision I took all the mods off, in one night, this way I can still run in stock class for this season. If it wasnt for the lack of funds you would see a much faster truck this year, I would rather just get my trucked tuned once next year then spending the money to get it tuned for this year when its not finished, and then get it tuned next season when it is finished. Dyno tuning is not cheap so i really only want to spend the money once. Like I said some of the things that i am selling are extra things I had laying around. I got a really good deal on the NX kit on Ebay, so im reselling here in town, and the kit is now sold.

You just got an LC-1, WTF, me too. Just came in 2 days ago. its fucking weird how you have to do the initial setup. care to help me out when I set mine up???

I have to get mine working first. I think I need a better ground... as you know you have to ground a couple wires separately.... This is actually the second LC1 I've purchased. The first one seemed to just work without any special grounding method but it was wired into the ECU harness. This one is stand alone. I doubt I'll get it wired up before BHFs.

The other tool I got was ECUFlash which allows you to view and reflash any OBD-II ECU provided there is support at OpenECU.org. Very cool to actually open the real tables on the ECU and see what Mitsu is doing behind the scenes.
