I want to use different seats in the Rx8 on track days. Tom and Andy both keep saying that evo seats glue you in place so I was looking to see if I could score a set of used ones.
Anyone have any or know of a good place to find some?

evo seats go for a pretty penny.
check out corbeau, they have some cheap but good race seats.

Have you tried using a seat belt locker to hold you in?

If you're not a bigger guy, I'd look for a pair of stock SRT 4 seats. Great quality, hold you in much much better than even the Evo sets do.

Yep these would be the seats to look for as a spare. But if you are over 250lbs look for something else!

I had my dad fab up some H-clips and it helps but I still need something that changes where I sit in the car. The outside of both knees hurts because I was pushing against the door and the center console to help brace myself.
Maybe I just need a car that has more headroom (eyes up the Z06).

i've used mine for years, and looooove it!! i believe evil uses one as well. cheap a spit, and easier to install than uncomfortable races seats and harnesses.

My h clips cost 2 bucks in total materials and do the exact same thing as the cglock. They help but being taller and the seats being leather and then having to tilt the seat back further than necessary to get my helmeted head to fit all combine to lots of extra effort used just to keep from sliding around.
If I had to shift I would have been a lot slower around that track as my left foot was planted on the foot rest and my right hand was used a lot to stabilize myself thru the harder corners. I was literally trying to push myself hard into the seat with my left leg.
