The battery cable on the V8's would rub against the starter, breaking the sheathing and shorting it out. Apparently QA missed the fact that the V8 block is longer than the V6 option. DURRR!

Why do you say that? The Camaro is the deal breaker that will help get GM out of the crunch they are in. You get a lot of car for MSRP of $23,000. It's cheaper then the Challenger (it's only real compatition) and out rates performance and reliability against the other two.

There is no way a 4000lb 2 door sports car is going to keep GM from going out of business. That is not the type of car to be selling in these economic times.

Well the volt is the main weapon for the economy but people will buy the Camaro, and a lot of them. The shit economy isn't going to stop people from buying sports cars. It reaching No. 4 on the AutoTrader.com monthly Trend Engine report of the top 20 new and used cars searched on the site. So the interest is there and the price is right.

Here are the top 10 selling cars of 2008:

Ford F-Series: 515,513
Chevy Silverado: 465,065
Toyota Camry: 436,617
Honda Accord: 372,789
Toyota Corolla: 351,007
Honda Civic: 339,289
Nissan Altima: 269,668
Chevy Impala: 265,840
Dodge Ram: 245,840
Honda CR-V: 197,279

No sports car on that last at all. GM's camaro will be a total bust. With Fiat getting their hands involved, the camaro will be dropped within a few years.

GM won't be going out of business.

Everytime someone comes into the showroom to look at the new Camaro they will be saying: "Oh boy some bidness."
