Ok, so I'm driving down to Milwaukee yesterday and there is a HUGE backup on hwy 41 southbound. We're talking several miles. Traffic is inching along, helicopters are flying all over, etc. I'm figuring there must be some huge accident or something.

As I'm creeping along, I see a car in the ditch with three young black men contemplating it. They were attempting to remove the car from the ditch but sadly did not know how to accomplish this. Instead of placing the guys who were standing around either in front of or in back of the car to PUSH once the driver got the car moving, they were standing around yelling directions at him, none of which were working (I had my window rolled down so I could listen). As the driver moved forward about a foot, I noticed that his muffler was hanging. So I shouted out the window, "Hey, your muffler is hanging off and is under your back wheel!" One of the guys relayed this to the driver...who proceeded to back over the muffler and completely flatten it. Ok. So traffic keeps creeping on and soon I leave them in the distance. I was stuck for about 40 minutes on that stretch of hwy and when I finally crested the hill, they were STILL trying to figure out how to get out of the ditch! Rock the car and push it out you morons! Sheesh. And these were all fairly well-built guys. A little muscle and they would have been on their way.

Oh, by the way, the traffic jam was caused by a Menomonee Falls woman who had jumped off the overpass of hwy 60 and was struck by a semi when she landed. Supposedly she lived and is in critical condition in the hospital. Some people!

LOL! I love the little oh, BTW.
A women jumping off a bridge does seem like a minor detail doesn't it?

When it makes you late for class, YES, the person doing the jumping was the least of my concerns. The traffic jam it caused had my complete attention. Selfish people! She COULD have chosen to do it in the middle of the night when no one was around...although if her aim was to get hit by a semi too, that may have been a little more difficult at that time. Of course I'm being totally sarcastic for those of you who don't know me well...I'm sorry she felt she had no other options but DAMMIT, it made me late!

I was in that traffic jam too. The lady was 47 who jumped. She was hit by the semi before she hit the ground. I was on my way back from West Bend with my newly fixed car. At least she did jump in front of me.

I feel bad for the semi driver. Talk about rotten luck. Did you see the guys trying to get the car out of the ditch?
