Well, my friend Jason was out having a good time last night with his EVO X and lets just say at the end of the night it wasnt so much fun any more..
The road he was on came to a T and there was no signs or anything, no yeild or stop sign. So he went straight..

He jumped the curb and over the culvert's, the culverts are what ripped his rear bumper off..

So I guess they didn't fix the curb problem with the 10's eh.

Front passenger rim is toast..
Front end frame must be bent cause in the pic the hood is closed..
Passenger side window is busted also.
And the body has stress dents also.

Both were at a track, in a place where you're supposed to push the car. Lets check out my street driving record... mmm spotless. You won't see me driving like an ass out on the street especially in an area I don't know for this exact reason.
Also if I did crash my car for the same reasons I'd call myself a dumb ass too. Hey I call myself one for the mistakes I made at the track, even if both of my were very minor. Does not change the fact.

How does a being a "cool guy", not make him a dumb ass for driving like an idiot on public streets, crashing.
I'm sure he's probably a great guy but obviously this was a very poor decision and judgement on his part. Lucky he didn't do more damage to property or people. Driving like that on the street under the conditions is just pretty dumb. I bet you if you ask him.. your friend will agree with me.

Wow, that's just bad news.
I was almost in the same 'totalled' catagory as your friend. Almost got rear-ended by a semi yesterday because some old fart decided he didn't want to go when the light turned green.
That just blows though because that was his own fault. Man, I'd shit if I did that.

yeah it was his fault but there should have been some sort of sign on that street saying T or STOP or YEILD..

frickn dumb....plain and simple. Sign or not, if you cant see the curb, road ending, yellow sign, grass...house in the background.....plus Im sure the EVO has blinding headlights like all the jap cars. It looks like he was going about 60+mph..

I'll admit I was an idiot when I clobbered my curb...... I forgot about the median and planned to drift the corner. Stupid.
I laughed it off, fixed the car, and sold it a week later. No insurnace claims and no police.
Its the insurance claims that fuck all evo owners over. This guy will get way more than his car is worth and my rates will go up because of it. That kinda sucks.
I can't really give him shit though because I still drive like ass on a daily basis. If I would have totalled my EVO I probably would have submitted a claim too.

Full Race Accord V-3. Hit the same curb Getsideways did, but it was on snow covered roads. - dumbass excuse -. Then a week later I drove into the side of my house with the Full Race Accord because my boot got stuck between the gas and the brake and the brakes on the car couldn't keep up with the engine. LOL.
Too bad about that EVO X though. Hope he comes out of this OK.

Well I've heard Jeff say that he was a dumb ass for doing that and crunching up his EVO so yeah I would have to agree. Just to even things out I happen to think he and maciahkskksjsdf are some of the coolest guys I know also. (Posted this before I read Jeff's reply on the previous page)
Like I said this has nothing to do with the character of the person but doing that kind of shit on public streets makes ya a dumb ass. I think any of us who deny that fact doing some of the stuff we do is pretty freaking dumb most of us just happen to get lucky and not crash.
What kind of response were you expecting posting pics and story of a guy crashing a 40k car? Blasting around at night on a public road with curbs that the person was not familiar with. By all means it sucks but givin the circumstances he was being a dumb ass. Don't take it so seriously, not like I'm calling the guy a jerk or anything.

all the screwing around on the street we do is stupid dangerous maybe even deadly at times and we deserve to be called idiots for it accidental mistakes or not ,,, id rather be called a fool for that crap and maybe save that 16 year old new driver some curb drama then try to justify it by saying the conditions sucked or my car failed me.
Before i always looked for excuses , but now i just keep in mind your gonna PAY TO PLAY i cant say i really feel that bad for anyone who does this to their car yeah it sucks but if their not hurt the above still is in effect .

hey guys
figured i would rejoin the forum. never really got into it as much as i should have.
anyway... it sucks for sure that i wrecked the X. i definitely was driving like an idiot. in fact thats the first thing i told the cops when i called them.
to my credit though that curb is not a full size curb. its only a couple inches high so it was not that visible. i had the lights pointed down 2 clicks and also the road curves quite immensly before it t's. so there were quite a few factors that played into it. i'm not an idiot.. but admitetly was driving like one and when taking into account the conditions of the road (and my stupidity for not knowing them all to well) this is the result.
i've had the x in some pretty insane spots when i lived in colorado.
with signs this definitely does not happen.
at any rate though, i just thought i would chime. both arguments are valid. the fact of the matter is that i am now without an X.
keep it real guys. i'll check in more often

I drive like a dumb ass also...
2 months after i got my drivers license i was going around a corner marked 35 at 60 mph+... I thought i was cool back then... I hit the gravel on the side of the road and over-corrected the car and ended up in the ditch balancing on my passenger side door... Thank god both of my passengers were not hurt... And from that point til now i NEVER go cruisin around a corner at those speeds unless i know i can handle it...
And with the same car some guy in a Dodge Ram pickup decided to run a red light and smucked the front passenger corner panel... The right side of my face was f'ed up cuz of the air bag going off and my passenger got a minor skull facture... To this day, all she can remember is that we were turning and that's it...
