Tint is great for heat and glare, so if you like... go 50% all around. still block outs same amount of heat/uv, and glare... just not physically as dark. i think GSW will be getting some 50% tint very soon if i'm not mistaken!

Shell, BP, and Exxon all use to have 93 octane w/out ethanol.
But now i see those dumb little up to 10% ethanol sticker's all over except for the BP on hwy 10/39 but it's only 91 octane now but shouldn't have ethanol in it? or at least there isn't a sticker above it, what i've been doing ever since I got my tune on the neon was putting in 91 octane from BP and then splashing in some Turbo Blue or Torco that I get from Granton, WI at the BP.

Firehazard and I were trying to untangle the two pits chains, because they were all wound around the tires of a mud truck and each-other... I was trying to get the lil one to go around the mud truck tire, when out of nowhere the big one jumped me! I have a one inch scratch on my left cheek bone, and scrapes, bruising and deep scratches on my left hip and thigh. Nothing that really bleed at all... The dog didn't know me, which is most likely why it freaked. I still love dogs and Pits though! :)

This pitbull looks intimidating and they do tend to have bad tempers. I know this dog very well and the only reason it attacked is because posihead is not well known by the dog. Me on the other hand can wrestle and play with this dog all day without so much as a nip. I was scared of him at first but after getting acquainted with him i have no fears.

The sales man says, oh its an "SRT Designs Neon"...what ever the hell that meant. The guy says its like a special edition, kinda like an R/T. He said its the same thing as an SRT but with out the 2.4T. I told the guy he's full of shit, and said its not the same thing as an SRT just with out the motor, its a plain old neon with a bodykit on it....then I left.

Ive seen new evo x's with only 30-40 miles on them for under $30K. I found a white X at a dealer in Cali for $28,800 and it had 32 miles on it.

I think this is do to the fact that nobody wants them, and the crappy economy....if you can afford it, its the time to buy.

I did a little wrenching on mine today as well. I put the race tires on and heat cycled them with a triple digit beat run to ShannyTown. Then when swapping back to the stockers I replaced the front rotors, and lastly I gave the beast a bath.

It was so nice out I even gave the garage floor a bubble bath.

I calculated the downforce of the STi wing using the Langley Research Center FoilSim wing simulator. The results are 60 lb of downforce at 100 mph, and 140 lb of downforce at 150 mph, which is an increase of between 5% and 10% download on the rear wheels. See the post on STi Buki:

Downforce is nothing like actual dead weight in the car.

What all info did you use. did you use the numbers from an 06 STi. your link doesnt work at all.

VPT, you may be looking over a few things. Too bad my aero thread was deleted in the forum switch just like all the other useful threads.

Most cars naturally generate lift. Wing and diffusers are put in place to reduce lift and to create negative lift...downforce. Take off the wing and measure the total lift, then put on the wing and measure, you now have negative lift. The amount of downforce may be little, but the total difference is huge,.

Also, I've seen tests done with just adding a lip on the sti's and the results are very good. much less lift in the front.

Try going with and without the wing at one of the big tracks and see if you notice a difference.

I noticed the difference on my EVO 8. Even at hwy speeds the rear end was much lighter without the big wing. Hard core drag racers remove the wing to reduce drag.

Pro autox guys claim huge wings and splitters greatly help even at parking lot speeds.

The cool thing about downforce is you don't have to worry about pulling it, stopping it, or turning it. The added weight from fuel will add stopping distance, add to accel times, and slosh around in turns. If my car was a near full time track slut I would trick it out with a shitload of areo options. They are cheap and functional.

Sadly you can't go much more aggressive than the OEM park bench before your ride is considered rice. Its a shame that cross drilled rotors get more street credit than functional lift reducing areo mods.

Stock a GSX ran a 0-60 in 6.6 and quarter in 15.5 sec. Bone stock 2004 SRT-4 runs 0-60 in 5.3 and quarter in 14.0 flat.
BTW the price ranges were for new cars.

Personal update: I was layed off for a while this winter, I got called back but I am not in my original welding position, so I am currently making 4/hr less than usual which has cut into the racing budget quite a bit.

Car update: At the end of the season last year, there where things I was really happy with and other things that I was pretty disappointed in. So the setup needed some refining. When it comes back out of the garage will heavily depend on when I get back to my welding position. If it is soon I might make it to some of the late season events.

I went to see F&F4 last night. I didn't like it at all. I'm okay with some faked out stuff but this release was complete shit.

F&F1 is still the best of the series. I won't be going to see F&F5 in the theater I can tell you that.
