At least he seen the honda light and has came over to the reliable, easy starting, timing belt having honda side.


Some are like you and take a little more time and few more broken DSM's but eventualy they all see the light.

how about just a good old spaghetti Sunday tonight. Its way to frickin cold and i cant get my truck to start. POS, but the DSM started up just fine, no problem, but now i cant get my DSM out of the driveway unless i move the truck.

battery is not dead, its been charging for over a few hours, even tried jumping it. I have a feeling the lines froze.

Had to abort the drifto. Everyone is a pussy and said it's too cold. Oh well. We'll shoot for later in the week.

It was fuckin-a cold this weekend. I had reserves and took Darth to GB. The combination of being parked out side, the 10w30 oil, and 50/50 coolant made it very difficult to start in minus 14* weather. But it got me there and back. I can't imagine the viscosity of the transfer case lube. That shit is like maple syrup on a 70* summer day.

You should have been fine with the 50/50 coolant and the 10w-30 oil at these temperatures.

Dee II this morning - started right away, but the gear lube in the trans. was so thick I couldn't get it into gear until it ran for a few minutes. Then it was still stiff as hell.

The talon started but only with clutch pushed in, as soon as I let the clutch out, it killed the engine, had to hold the clutch in for a minute. I would have loved to go driftin on dubay, but if anthing would happen, you can only last about 10-15 minutes outside, even with winter gear on.

Would 5W-30 make any significant difference in this weather? I too have 10W-30 and the Talon sounds like it has huge cams when it first starts for a few seconds then it slowly gets smoother...

yeah, same problems here with the trans fluid... once i let out the clutch, the car want's to move forward even though it's in nuetral. only a few inches though, but it sure is thick trying to get it into gear. i didn't mind wasting a little gas this morning to let the car warm up!

I pulled the dipstick and check how thick the oil was...... It really didn't seem overly thick but I'm sure thinner stuff would be better..... How many of you put ISOHEAT in your fuel tank?

I took Tiffany to work today, she popped right off and ran like a top.

i used to put IsoHeat in, and will probaby pick some up on the way home tonight becuase the forecast for the rest of the week is in the (-) digits until after NEXT weekend. it can't hurt to put a little in there!
