I just wanted to share this little story that just happened to me...
I had a customer walk in this morning, and say that he owed my company some money from about 5yrs ago. Said he wrote us a check and it bounced. (this was before i took over 3yrs ago, so i couldn't even really check the previous owners records on this)
anyways, he says it was only $10, but he's not the type of person to leave unpaid bills. So he pulls out a $10 bill and hands it over! What a guy! It turns out he used to own a sign company in the neighboring town, and when he went out of business 5yrs ago, he was financially not well, obviously, and never took care of a lot of bounced checks. Now he's doing well, has a good job again, and their sending him to another location out of state. He just wanted to clear up some loose ends before leaving. Just about floored me to be honest... over $10!!
we talked business for a bit, he was impressed with some of the new technology in the last 5yrs, especially the large format printer/cutter. not that they didn't have them 5yrs ago, but they are more affordable now, etc.
so that's all, i was just impressed with this guy and wanted to share.
