WI Dells Car Show

The WI Dells Car Show is May 15-17, 2009. I know its early, but I like to get my rooms booked early. If anyone wants in on this, let me know. I usually book two rooms, but won't be doing that if its not necessary. I'm trying to get Extreme to go this year! Maybe it will be a parade of Evo's this time . . .

I may end up going again this year. Im not sure though. If I do Ill prob camp out in some back alley like I did last year for free. Last year I spent a total of less then 50 doolers for friday and sat not including gas. Thank God I drive a boat and not an Evo other wise camping quarters would be a little tight.

I have made an observation over the past couple of years about the Dells Car Show. It turning into what should be called the :

- Lets Go To The Bars In Wisconsin Dells Weekend.

I feel I should remind people that bars are open 7days a week - 365 days a year. No need to go the Wisconsin Dells in May to sit in a bar.

Shit you don't even need to go to the Dells to find a bar.

I was really disgusted last year when I asked people to go for a cruise and were unable to participate because they were drinking. :(

everytime we go for a cruise late a night we drive around doing nothing interesting. maybe one race with a mustang out in the middle of no-where. you don't need to go to the dells to do that either. that's every fri/sat night in downtown stevens point!! :lol:

as for the bars... it's a good time with friends when down there. i could just as easily hangout or drive around, but the majority seemed to go to the bars, who was i to argue

helby... as for dizzm being overserved... i remember him being full, yes. but also he was simply tired! :-)

and i did everyone a courtesy and found last years lists of thing to remember for this year... so pay attention...

1. if you drive a car that looks like a cop car people will stop for you.

3. Dizzm doesn't get drunk, he gets full
4. Pizza places close before 4am in the dells, even on carshow weekend
5. BJ's is DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET FROM OUR HOTEL!
6. Refferees can slide down poles better than firemen can
7. apparently bike cops can catch Evo's
8. the monaco and pink flamingo BOTH have hot tubs!
9. a little rain never stopped us from having a good time

-It was fun watching girls get hassled for some ass and watching the guys get there ass kicked by them.
-Tk still needs to remodel his crack house, there is shit everywere.
-5 shots of 151 rum is not good for you in a 45 minute time frame.
-TC and DSM girl showed off there pole/tree dancing abilities
-Dizmm walkes like an ape when he is intoxicated
-The .org guys got owned.
-Saw some mamory glands and some burnouts, a great combination.
-Even Fat chicks wear belly shirts in the dells.

not sure if that last one will help change anyones mind about going this year, as it's kinda scarry... but i'll be there for sure!! it was a good time last year. out of the 6-8 times i've gone, this was in the top 2 i'm sure. it was a good time.

I have always had a good time and I've been going for about 5 or 6 years now. It's not quite the same as it use to be as far as burnouts go but there are so many things to do. Walking around at the car show, go karts, roller coasters, mini-putt, shopping, different places to eat, bars and a strip club. Sometimes it's just nice to get out of town even if it's a town still in WI.

I just hope that this year Paul Bunyans doesn't claim to have another fire the whole weekend. We could do the pancake challenge there . . . Oh and did I mention Famous Dave's! Yum!

(1)It was really nice being able to pull out on a jamed road.
(2) for the record it was the old lady at the pink flamingo who got me in trouble cuz she said that I was pulling people over, burning tires, and trespassing. she was a bag and a half though. After the first b/w charger followed me around for 5 min all the cops I talked to thought my ride was "sweet". By the way the female cop who kicked me out of town was on the rag that week!

it's only about 12 miles, not 14, from the log cabin to the Monaco. edge of town to edge of town is only like 6 miles.

Fastest way to get from the dells to the Log Cabin would be to take county A right by the Sinclair station across from the upside-down building (might be BP now, I haven't driven through town in a while). This brings you out about 6-8 blocks from the Cabin. Or, you can take A, then cut left (east) on gillem, then south on T (super-straight road, nearly zero traffic) which will bring you into town about a block east of the Cabin.

for me, the show just isn't the same anymore. I think the chance of burnouts is more like about 5%, not 20%.

what day would be the car cruise? i can get enkro im sure to pull out the evo(rapids orange evo) and possibly the tt3z he just picked up off troy flater. brent would be interested in pulling out his z for the cruise and i know quite a few others that would want to cruise. hopefully by then the tsi or eg8 can hit the road so im def. udown for the cruise but idk bout staying the night in the dells, ill prolly head into Boo for the night and meet up with everyone the next morning, and gather a few of the boo/merrimac boys to cruise/bbq/show/whatever also

Remember it is a painfully long drive from the Dells to Baraboo. Better fill your tank with gas and make sure all your fluids are up to spec. for a long drive like that. :D

FYI, for the Dells Show rookies, their is no scheduled cruise like the Rapids show has. People just drive around the strip constantly with no destination in mind. Also, I made my room reservation when I got to the crappy motel on Friday night, and ended up 2 or 3 rooms away from the other CWSCC people that made reservations 4 or 5 months in advance... So you can jump the gun for no reason, or pick where you want to stay when you get into town, it makes no difference anymore.

im think a stop in at marleys that weekend, never been there. but im sure that place will be packed per Uusual. damn. its been like 3 or 4 years since i was last at automotion. i was there with TEAM WReX, i rode with Jason when he had his WRX, i remember a guy trying to get water for his dog in an ice cream bucket and the fuckin 5-0 grabbed it, cuz they thought he got water for bleach burnouts. i thought the popo was gunna get jacked in the face, the dog needed his aqua haha. that was also the first time i saw an ACR SRT-4, wasnt the ACR or whatever model the weight shaved version?

icic. there were 3 there that day. we were parked at the gas station up the road from the flamingo talking to a fib with an sti and 2 ACRs pulled up and one drove by. i can think of a million other ways to spend 20k than on a neon. dont get me wrong srt-4s are nice, comfy with them viper seats and all, got pull. but there not my type of go-kart. i use to cruise with jeremy all the time in rapids, he had the first one in town, black paint, ugly ass LED tails. his was quick. the exhaust was rediculous, dual, no muffler, backfired often, but the rap on downshift was killer. it remonded me alot of my eg8 when i had a t-25 turbo and off the flexpipe i had a flowlab purple hornies header muffler. that was rediculous sounding. 1 of a kind it was annoying ill admit that. but ill do it again. haha

Originally we had reservations at the Monaco but their prices went up drastically from last year. This year it was $120/night. So I called Shamrock and they were booked, so then I called Atlantis and Friday night is $89.00 and Saturday night is $135 but we have a room that sleeps 6 people and everyone that stays in our room gets free passes to the indoor/outdoor waterpark and the indoor/outdoor themepark. So it ends up being a really good deal. We get to do roller coasters, waterpark and go-karts all weekend!

Right now I am content knowing that my crx isn't quite as fast as it should be (losing to B16 powered CRX's). I know its not in optimal form but dyno'ing would confirm my thoughts and I would become a very angry little guy. To me it seems like my crx doesnt pull like it should, and dynoing it would prove that... which would make me sad.


If I dyno my car it will be at the King meet this summer. I don't have the spare cash around right now anyway, I just recieved an underage last night so money is kinda tight for me.

I like to build and restore older cars rather than buy ones that are newer and already fast. I'd rather spend money on parts then on high insurance and car payments. I'll buy a house after I get my degree finished and decide where I want to live and work. I'm getting all my schooling for free, so I won't have to worry about paying for any student loans and can focus my money on other things! Should be a sweet deal! :):):)

put it was a great weekend all in all BEAUTIFUL women, Good food (famous daves and the 20 inch pizza we got) HOT HOT HOT cars oh and some sweet times on the go kart track and the coaster as well ill have pictures up soon. havent had time to put them up yet. somebody should start a new thread for them or when i post mine i will.
