The term is hot shoe. Refers to a really good driver, but in your case the hot part of it comes from the looks of your driver.

Actually I can't believe that you would want to change soo many things all at once. I like to change one thing at a time then work the bugs out before moving onto the next.

You just don't get it. Its not getting done til mid summer and I got a goot 7 months to get this right but I'm gonna pay more on stuff like AEM PnP standalone. And there has to be some modification to be done in order to work. Wanna know y I had problems in the past? G54b engines are just junk. And I know a guy that knows alot about these motors that I'm doing a swap on. In fact there's so much proven stuff out there for it. So I know this engine will work just fine. Look at matt's or franks hmmm does that explain something? Or Pointdsm? But ya he's gonna say something that none goes wrong with his car. I could keep on going but don't wanna argue. I'll have my stealth for the summer til my quest is done.

I agree with Evil. Baby steps. Ask Big Erv of Big Erv Motorsports and Paint and he'll tell you one mod at a time. Make sure it works then move on to the next mod.


I don't think the Blackhawk lapping day would work well into this. It's kind of expensive and long distance from here.

There aren't that many opportunities for lapping days at BHFs. They have autocrosses but those suck the April lapping day will be the best chance to run bumper to bumper for multiple laps. Its not that expensive, you get loads of track time, speeds exede 100mph in spots, and its fairly close. I usually get up and drive down there in the morning, race all day, then drive back (after a stop at fudruckers that is).

Not only that but it would be a very good indicator of how the rest of the challenge will go or provide a better picture as to mods to perform.

I'm going because it will only be about a 35 minute drive for me. i don't think the clutch will come anymore, maybe during the summer, and i will just go on a little road trip to break it in.

i put about 1/2 mile on mine... until i had enough open road to hit 18psi. that should break it in just about right!!!

The break in period is to ensure it was put back together correctly.....other than that its BS. Modern clutch technology no longer requires the old school break in. One hard launch and both mating surfaces change anyway.

I'm not to overly concered with doing a whole bunch of mods at once. I mean come on, I am doing a carburated small block chevy, not alot of skill and tuning involed there if you ask me... I VERY HIGHLY doubt i'll be ready by May, I still need to buy rims, tires, and better brakes front and rear... My car had 250,000 miles on it when I parked it last year, so everything was VERY worn! Every piece of the steering, suspension, drivetrain, ignition, brakes, wheels, tires, etc. is either new aftermarket, or new oem... So basically, i'll have a brand new car for this summer! :twisted:
