the snow has fallen, whos ready for some snow rallycross? I'm working at trying to get a couple 1-2 mile rally stages plowed up behind my parents farm. Maybe a nite out by a certain bar agin a couple times this year?

i have to go out there and plow up a little this weekend, see what i can do. there are a few good straights that i might throw a few corners in just for the hell of it to make it really interesting. one of the stages is an aold road that we barely use to get to junction city from my place if there is a train blocking the driveway, and the other is a very long road that goes around some of the feilds and has a few nice dips, elavation changes, not a whole lot of corners, but still fun in the summer. cant wait to see what its like in the snow.

patience, i have to plow the track, i should be able to at least build/plow it this weekend, and hopefully more snow will come to help build better snow banks for launching, and a better compact base layer. I'll post a few pics and vid in the next couple days. I mostly just need to map and mark it out.

Good times. Don't think I hurt the talon too bad. Battery terminal must not have had a good contact which is why it needed a jump, seems to be fine now. Also have to keep an eye on the drivers front tire to see if it continues to lose air.

got some decent pics of Heat 1. will post tomoro. let TK use the camera for heat 2 and he accidentally changed the shutter speed to a very high number, which those of you in the know will know... the pics are very dark. hopefully i can save a few with photoshop, but don't expect much. some looked really cool too so we'll see what i can do!!

Hoot went into the tulips (swamp). Luckily Firehazard was able to pull him up the hill and back onto the tarmac with his truck. :shock: Unfortunately there was some damage.

FRAT took some damage too. Took the Mack-Aye-Ahh turn a little too fast returning to home and pasted a curb. Bent something and now the rear toe is a bit off. :x Car will probably be junked soon. :(

no problem fellas, glad everything worked out pretty good. i decided it for the better if i didnt run another heat and risk damaging the civ any more that it had been. wait for a little more snow, pack it down really good, get some snow banks up bordering "The Farm V2", and were good to go agian.

I had a blast!! The Corolla didn't, however. My front struts are complaining and my exhaust is sound/smelling pretty sick now. But I have new struts in the box and a tube of JB Weld for the exhaust. HighRolla V1.1 should be ready later this week.

Doesnt matter how much snow we get, after the first 3 or 4 runs it will be back to how it was.

Pretty much. By the last run on the night session we were driving on dirt on most of the corners.

i tried. the snow falling didn't help.

everything from Heat 2 is pretty much garbage. loaned the camera out and some settings were accidentally changed, and the pics are unsalvable. owell. next time i guess. the few of me and dizmm i salvaged, but you can tell they were edited heavily in PS to lighten them up a LOT!!! that's ok, next time i'll pass on the driving i think and snap some more pics, maybe it won't be snowing then either and i'll bring the better lense.

I suggest we have jumps along the straightaways to slow things down a bit :D

I'm definitely taking it easy for now on. The last two rally events took a toll on mine as well. Might be a cheap car, but I still have to fix it if it breaks. (tie rods, control arms, wheels, tires, exhaust, etc) bahh.

Actually, with the way the surface was, regular knobbies might do alright, since it was mostly dirt/mud/fiber we were driving on. Probably have to re-jet because of the cold though.

A quad would definitely be fun, until you hit one of those child-sized rocks. Instead of puncturing a tire and breaking the bead, it will rip of a wheel and puncture your intestines!

and damn, I just found out a guy out in Montana is selling a protege like mine, only it's completely stripped out, as he was in the process of turning into a full-on rally car. comes with the turbo engine like I've got in my wagon, and the tranny with shot-peened gears, a couple sets of rims, and other things. I should take a week off, fly out there, put it together, drive it back, and have an actual rally slut!

Hit a curb and bent the shit out of the rear suspension on Full Race Accord III. Was planning on junking the car, but decided maybe we could fix it. Called Meng and a parts Accord was still sitting at Kents. Come and get it he said.

Called Dizmm and he was willing and able to help out. We were both thinking this job was going to be a bitch. Control arms can be a real PITA. Once the car was on the hoist at Ace it looked like just the rear control arm was messed up. Two bolts and it was out. No torch - no drama. Went to Kents and the arm on that car came off easy too.

Back to Ace and the new arm fixed the bent suspension right up straight as an arrow. :D

It barely took an hour to complete.
