I would die for that car. I always wanted one but its too damn hard to get over here and too expensive to do. I have seen ONE skyline which was weird where I used to live in Black River Falls. Now the new skylines are legally in the US and they are FUCKIN ugly looks just like the 350z which is stupid and now its a v6 which is even worst. It'll never be as strong as a Inline 6. Btw, I never could really figure out clearly y the skyline didn't come in the US. U know y?

Nissan was not doing well financially as a company in the mid to late 90's in its America division (notice how the last 300zx was 96). To bring this car to America would have required some re-engineering, specifically in emissions and impact (front and rear bumpers would have to be redesigned). Also the following there is now just wasn't there 10 to 15 years ago (how many dodge stealths and 3000GT's do you see around now). Motorex actually imported enough of these cars to do crash testing on them and get them legal for import into the states. I believe they are the only place that legally imports them but I might be wrong.

I actually don't plan on getting another car for awhile. I may not even keep the one I have. I really love my Jeep so I'll probably just stick with that.

You are exactly right on the motorex part. He was the only import dealer that had them legally imported. The only problem is that he is millions of dollars in debt and now has been tied to the mob. I believe that is whole operation has been shut down.

As for the 300zx, they stopped them in the US after 96. They still kept making them in Japan until 97'. Nissan was in trouble and had to re-structure their american division. That was the 1st gap in Z cars ever.

Now cash, as for the 350z, I really like that car. They make a really nice twin turbo kit for it (many$$$ though). I plan on buying one the day I graduate college, a present to myself. I guess the Z cars are a required taste, its a love hate relationship, you either love it while its running or hatting it when your dropping $$$ to fix it. I am Z fan for life.
